A single LED can put out clearer and brighter light than most halogen bulbs now! Cree 5 etc is the way forward ;)

yip, its a photocell i think technically not an LED. very powerful and very low power consumption.

I've seen a few TTs going on eBay (no reserve) for about £6-7k.

They are the 225 version and have leather and Xenons. I was quite surprised as I think it's cheap for the initial purchase of that type of car with those options.

Others I considered were facelift Z4 but that would be too expensive. Honda S2000 seems good but again its cost. The RX8 are cheap and has practicality of better access to rear seats but I wouldn't be too sure about engine maintenance.

The rise in fuel prices over the ealier half of the year and the initial announcement of the VED changes must have seriously pused the price of the petrol sports cars down

How about a Lotus Elise ?
It wouldn't be very lady like to get in or out of, but it would be a true sports car before you reach 30 !
