No, but I haven't even gone through the CRB yet. Have you? What's in it?:idea:0 -
I was just wondering does anyone know definitiviely what they ask previous employer reference?
Is it just start and end dates etc... Or do they ask for punctuality and attendance information.whinge intr.v. whinged, whing·ing, whing·es Chiefly British To complain or protest, especially in an annoying or persistent manner.0 -

Hi i spoke to someone in DWP today and apparantly - they dont ask employers directly as some businesses have closed down - so instead they are using HMRC Online and taxes people to find out what dates you work (start and finish) - that is all they need to know and nothing else!0 -

Advised to give them a call if it hasn't turned up.
Cheers. I have to be a bit careful about the pension thing as I left the civil service about 14 months ago on redundancy and there are some pitalls to making the wrong pension choice. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.:idea:0 -

I got a letter with a brief description of two different pension schemes, it said I'd receive a starter pack nearer my start date (which is 3 weeks away). I don't think it will be a problem if you don't receive it beofre you start, from what I can tell they automatically enter you into a scheme then you have time to opt out or change schemes once you start. It'd be nice to see what else is in the pack though! :rolleyes:0 -

This is not true for everyone, as they directly asked my previous employer for references last week, though the business has closed down.0 -
