The results for the above exercise are being delayed due to the high
volume of applications. It is antisipated that these will be issued
early week commencing 01/03/2010. Therefore the planned interviews
for this exercise will also be delayed.
As yet a revised date for interviews is to be arranged.

    :( more waiting

Oh and they spelt anticipated wrong too :(
I too got the same automated e-mail for IRC 65238, the incorrect spelling of anticipated made me howl. An equivalent error could have meant a pass or a fail for us poor !!!!!!s who have/are sitting online tests, numeracy & literacy tests for a role with the DWP. Spell checkers must be something from last century as far as the DWP are concerned.

I wonder how long it took the DWP to type up that drivel and forward it to 1800 applicants who think working for the DWP is a better option than their current position! After reading the BBC News article link, I'm wondering what we're all letting ourselves in for, well at least the lucky 25 that get chosen for this particular exercise.

I'm still awaiting a full response to my complaint to their HR department, they said they would reply within 7 working days, it's now day 10. I sent a reminder on Wednesday, the DWP couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge receipt of my reminder e-mail. I do know they have received it though as I asked a question in relation to IRC65238 and another person has already responded.

    To be continued .............

snap!! my office would be left with only 1 permanent stage 3 adviser!!! haha:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

although we haven't been told anything about not being kept on......... yet!

We got an email and it looked like a regional thing, not just like our local offices. That was about a month ago! Hopefully its not gonna be the case for everyone though xxx
  • If you have paid enough contributions then you can claim Contributions based JSA for the first 6 months. :D Unless of course you have already exhausted this......

They won't pay out if you live with someone who earns a decent amount of money.

This does not matter if customer is claiming JSA(C) this is payable for up to 182 days, if after this the person is still signing on they can make a claim for JSA(IncomeBased) they will then ask about any savings or if you have a partner that works depending on your circumstances they may not pay any benefits however they could still sign on to receive NI stamp.

    Change Programme

The Department's Change Programme aims to improve the quality of customer service. It has five main priorities:
    • Treat customers well – by listening carefully, offering good advice and treating people with respect
    • Deliver the right result – by making sure our customers get the right support, advice and financial help
    • Respond on time – by meeting customer needs faster and keeping them in touch with progress
    • Improve access to services – by making our information clearer, our systems simpler and contacting us easier
    • Make DWP a great place to work – by involving staff in making changes, and making sure that everyone has the support, skills and tools they need to do their job well.
    Oh the irony. :rotfl:
Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.

Well, I know there's a lot of talk about cuts and stuff, but dont give up hope folks, I just got "the call" and start my basic training in a few weeks time - though the process has been apalling in some cases and more than lacking in transparency for this IRC it has been good and seemingly well managed and with minimal delays.

I also got a few weeks notice of start, and a promise of an offer letter etc "before" commencing work which seems a bit of a rarity!

Those of you still "hanging on" and others just starting, persevere and hopefully you will get there in the end.

Congratulations! Great to see some good news in this thread as there hasn't been any for a while. Good luck and hope the job is everything you expect it to be and the wait was worth it.:)

How long have you been waiting? Did you receive the waiting list letter in January?

Wow, is that for IRC 62979? I seriously gave up hope completely, as I've heard there is a recruitment freeze in place???
