IRC65238 - Has everyone else heard? I passed the minimum requirement but due to the amount of people applying, the pass mark got raised! Bit annoying but think I was out of my depth applying for an EO job anyway. Anyone else have any luck?

Another amusing thing I noticed was yet ANOTHER spelling mistake on their email, do these people not use spell check?!!

Congratulations! Great to see some good news in this thread as there hasn't been any for a while. Good luck and hope the job is everything you expect it to be and the wait was worth it.:)

How long have you been waiting? Did you receive the waiting list letter in January?

Strangely, this one was speedy beyond belief.. I had my int rescheduled so I was at the tail end of Jan rather than the beginning.. so to have confoirmation only a month later is some going..

Wow, is that for IRC 62979? I seriously gave up hope completely, as I've heard there is a recruitment freeze in place???

Sorry Viper, no it isn't. Like whiskyman I have a string of IRC no's Im "on" so much so I forget which is which and where!!

I applied for my first in Sept 2009, and have passed all the interviews and checks.. always to be on that dratted waiting/merit list.. I got the block email "sorry but nothing doing at present" for 62979 in January, and kind of assumed that as folk are reporting recruitment freezes and staff layoffs for temps I wouldn't get any further with the other IRCs.. but this is a call centre role, not JCP one and seemingly they are in a better position to know what they want/need?

Well, I know there's a lot of talk about cuts and stuff, but dont give up hope folks, I just got "the call" and start my basic training in a few weeks time - though the process has been apalling in some cases and more than lacking in transparency for this IRC it has been good and seemingly well managed and with minimal delays.

I also got a few weeks notice of start, and a promise of an offer letter etc "before" commencing work which seems a bit of a rarity!

Those of you still "hanging on" and others just starting, persevere and hopefully you will get there in the end.

Well done. Have they confirmed what role you will be taking. I currently work at Warbreck and was one of the few that got through the test and the interview. There are so many rumours circulating at the moment, it would be nice to actually find out where these post are from the "horses Mouth".

    IRC65238 - DECISION MAKER BIRMINGHAM - ** UPDATE **

Ok so they sent me an automated email saying i met the minimum standard BUT they raised the pass mark due to the volume of candidates and I HAVENT been called for an interview - what a bloody joke!

The results were meant to come out last week - so essentially i passed last week but they realised how many other people passed on the standard scores and some 3000 people applying for 25 vacancies - they raised the pass mark - leading to a lot of people who had 'passed' on the basis of what they were told at the start !! Argggh it's so frustrating to hear this!!

Those that have an interview coming up, congrats and i wish you the very best!!

Sportfan and mum2four sorry to hear that.. but it is "allowable" to set an interview mark higher than the pass mark - I gather that the target is interview 3 candidates for every post available.. so they would belooking to see around 80 -100 folk.. not 3000

I would consider asking for feedback on your OCAT - if they give it, you can review any errors you may have made, and thus boost your scores if you have to sit the test again (I did it twice in 2 weeks!).. at least next time you have a better understanding of what the test involves and therefore a better chance of performing well and to a higher standard.:o
