You mean Job Seekers Allowance?? :rotfl::T

I can't get that because I live with my partner. Even though I've paid the same contributions as everyone else.

The results for the above exercise are being delayed due to the high
volume of applications. It is antisipated that these will be issued
early week commencing 01/03/2010. Therefore the planned interviews
for this exercise will also be delayed.
As yet a revised date for interviews is to be arranged.

    :( more waiting

Oh and they spelt anticipated wrong too :(
  • I got the same email aswell off the DWP. Pleased to see someone else got one.

First time applying so fingers crossed.
  • I got the email, but whats the point chasing jobs that dont exist, or jobs that wont exist for another 6 months .... all because someone decided they hadnt advertised enough / got a high enough quota applied.

All very depressing but sadly not surprising.

I think this freeze on recruitment is a !!!! take lol. Ive been working with jobcentre since november and we were all recently told that fixed terms are not being kept on past there contract. If all of the fixed terms in my office were paid off then.....the office would be running purely on steam lol. Well not purely, but most days were short staffed so yeah good idea to get rid of a large bunch of us soon eh...makes sense lol!

snap!! my office would be left with only 1 permanent stage 3 adviser!!! haha:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

although we haven't been told anything about not being kept on......... yet!

I don't know for certain, but I gather that if you have recent/current employer references they check those, and your PAYE records for the last 3 years, if you don't have those, then they contact your personal references..

They defo didn't check ANY references for me, employer or personal, I guess they did check PAYE records.

If you have paid enough contributions then you can claim Contributions based JSA for the first 6 months. :D Unless of course you have already exhausted this......
