Regarding your rubber ball, if you don't like receiving comments about yourself, perahps you should be a little less frivolous with your own. Regretfully I feel I may as well be having this conversation with the plant on my desk, so will no longer entertain the facade of your genuine interest with this thread, when all you are concerned with is your own shallow self image and ego. No we haven't heard anything. There are quite a few of us in our office, AO's and EO's. They are even opening another unit by us and half the staff are going there to cope with the numbers.

I have, DWP Newcastle rang me today, to ascertain some information from my application form, apparently they have been inundated with applicants for these posts. I was told approx 1800 had applied, not sure how many completed the online test. I asked how many posts were currently available within the Pensions & Disability Dept and I was told 25 for the EO jobs @ Birmingham.

I was also told that DWP Newcastle were waiting to hear from the business centre how many people they were going to interview, before sending out the results at the end of this week.

I asked if they would be scored, I was told no, it will be an automated e-mail that states whether you have passed or failed and they they will contact you again separately to advise of an interview date.

Good Luck to all those who have applied, myself included and may the best applicants get the jobs - woohoooooo!
