DWP employment waiting list

Would everyone be so kind as to post their locations/IRC areas, and if they have start dates and for what position?
Just curious is all, i'm interested to see what areas of the country are most saturated by us despairing DWP dream chasers!
To start, I applied in in Nottingham for a full time E.O position. I was interviewed on March 14th and have a start date of June 1st.
Cheers,

Just found out im number 114 on the list....60 positons are avaialable at the moment so i'll be number 54. Does anyone have any experience or have any idea roughly how long i'll be waiting or even if i will be offered a position at all? Apparently there are 27 offices in the merseysade area that i can be considered for.0

After receiving my successful letter on 26th Feb I've still not heard anything from DWP regarding my start date. Was wondering if anyone else is having trouble contacting a Graham Lowther? I have been trying to phone him for 3 weeks and it just rings with to no answer, I have faxed him asking him to contact me to no avail. Obviously they have sodded up somewhere but how am I meant to find out how to sort it if I can't bloomin get through to Newcastle. I know my Disclosure was fine and that they have seen it and my references have got back to them, so I don't see where the problem is!0

I had my tests on Saturday 4th April and my interview for EO in Edinburgh on 22nd of April. I got my 'successful' letter on Saturday 9th May and I've received my Disclosure certificate today which I've emailed to Newcastle.
I called my recruitment officer in Newcastle this afternoon, got through immediately and the very helpful guy told me I'm 23rd on the list of 55 who are currently being checked for 50 vacancies. He reckons that I'm the first to get my disclosure check back and that I should be contacted by the Edinburgh people in 2 to 3 weeks from now.
This confirms that a previous post was correct in saying that the 'successful' letters are sent to the number of successful applicants needed to fill the available vacancies in a particular area and the 'successful / waiting list' letters are sent to the next batch below that.
I'll settle down and enjoy my time off work a little bit more now that I understand the process a little bit more and can see some light at the end of the tunnel (hope it's not a train coming!) lol
Best wishes to all who are waiting.

People need to chill out and keep applying to other jobs. Patience is a virtue as far as the DWP are concerned. If they need anything or need to tell you anything they will contact you. This is not your average "run of the mill" company and mass recruitment programs take a considerable amount of time and organisation.
Putting all your eggs into one large DWP basket is a sure fire way to get yourself on JSA for a lonnnnng time. If you find another job in the meantime then you can jack that in should the DWP come knocking at a later date if you're still interested. To be perfectly honest the renumeration from DWP isn't that great and the job security isn't any better than other employers especially as contracts , a lot of them now anyway, are temporary.
I pity the poor folk of Newcastle and wonder whether it would not be better for them to keep their telephone numbers off the correspondance if they're going to be getting called everyday to ask what's happening. I'm not directing this at anyone in particular but this is pretty much the way I see things are taking place. I know it's a tough time for a lot of people and for some reason people seem to think the DWP are their quick meal ticket but honestly, it's never going to be the case.0 -
Just wanted to say I disagree with Chris - x1. DWP don't seem to bother to contact people if theres anything wrong with the checks. Have finally managed to speak to someone and found out that I was misinformed that my checks had come back clear on the 28th March. Therefore nobody contacted me to let me know there had been a problem.0

Which begs the question why you want to work for an organisation you hold in such little regard?
I've been contacted on a few occasions to clear some things up in my recruitment process and not had any issues from them.0 -
I was interviewed in Leeds for EO post on 17 March, received successful letter on 2 April havent heard anything else yet.0

What makes you assume I hold them in little regard?
Its not DWP I have an issue with I have spoken to a couple of helpful people today. However I do think the recruitment process is inconsistent and should be run better. I think anyone in my position would have the right to be annoyed. I have held off contacting them, assuming my checks were clear as I had been informed, because I appreciate how busy they are.0
