Contact your district office and ask to speaking to someone regarding your IRC. But it may turn out like it did with me that Newcastle might mess up and pass on your file to a different district, not your local one...
hope this helpsthunderb0lt wrote: »Your checks need to come back clear before your file is passed onto "business services"
Just wandering if you know where to get the district office number from???0 -
Hi Debbie
Re IRC61505, I spoke to someone from Employee Resourcing yesterday, they told me that they had JUST started recruiting 1 or 2 people from that list and that they would continue working through it during December and anyone that had not heard would then be contacted by letter in January updating us of the 'status of our application' . Someone rang me back with that information as the number I had took me though to the wrong dept. I have since found a number for Jan Treleaven who was the Recruitment Team Leader that send me my 'success letter' on 1st September and I will pm it to you.

Hi,
I got "the call" at the beginning of last week (AO, Nottingham area) & I start on Monday (7th Dec) :j. I didn't get any choice & I've got my least preferred location (just because of the distance), I got the impression that if I wanted to wait for somewhere closer that I might be waiting for quite some time (not many positions available). It's a 12 month contract, which seems to be the same as everybody else who has has the call recently. Still it's a job & I'm very very happy!
I had my interview in the middle of July, my success (waiting list) letter at the end of July, & CRB back in September. I have no idea where I was on the list (I suspect it wasn't very high up).
It's been a long wait but I'm very excited
Congratulations thats a quick start date. Good Luck Dx:beer:0 -

Hi Heather
DWP does have great service in some departments then!!:rotfl:
Glad its all working our for you! xx
Yeah - there is one department in particular that could take a few pointers from the lady in Clydebank........gosh, I can't quite remember which one......its on the tip of my tongue............damn - its gone. Anyway, changing the subject completely, its nice that things are starting to move on the recruitment front at DWP. There have been quite a few getting "the call" in the last couple of weeks - lets hope it continues
Good luck to all still waiting0 -
Having been a Woolies manager I thought Id try something different from retail, and stumbled one night over the DWP vacancy site. I had my interview and tests in April, got a letter saying I would be added to the waiting list in may - and still havent heard anything else! I got all my security checks cleared, and still got told that I would be on the waiting list - but tried phoning today and the Newcastle number is no longer recognised! I am working, thankfully, and wonder if this is why I am still waiting - are unemployed people given priority? My other half has just been made redundant too, and on his sign on visit to JCP, they were saying how short staffed they are?! Hopefully will hear something soon - would be great to get out of an unknown future within retail!:A0

no one is given priority shazza, i thought that initially because im 21 and from the midlands and it seemed a few 20 to 25 year olds had been hired in my area (midlands) seeing as we are the worst hit age group in the midlands but then i changed my view on that because there actually a pretty good mix on people that have been hired some are even in their 60's (no offence to 60+ people btw)11K Challenge

What you need to do is get the contact number of the jobcentre plus office where the district office is located and call up, then ask to be transferred to someone from district office that deals with recruitment. You might have to explain to them, but they ight not even transfer you. That's correct. How about yourself
That's nice. I don't know a lot about the whole benefit system to give that sort of customer service (yet!).
I'm currently working on stage 2 FJR0
