Staff xmas "do" this sat - all paid for (YES!) so have my childminder booked (my eldest daughter who is at Uni and wasn't AT ALL amused when I asked her - missing some drunken student jaunt or other no doubt).0

Hi Natomar
It started off really well but I had such a long wait and the box we were in was really cold. The questions were not that bad but it just seemed that the two females who interviewed me just wanted to get home. Perhaps it is just me but we shall see.
About the organisation or rather lack of it they even drafted in some people from the other end to help with the admin they were so far behind.
One guy ( a Nigerian) had travelled from London for the interview. That is showing enthusiasm.
I'm sure you did fine, I was freezing as well, aww the poor fella, like you say enthusiasm!! hope it pays off for him0 -

I'm still waiting for the same IRC but I was 41st on the list, so I'm still expecting a long wait. Which jobcentre are you going to be at?
You should not have too long to wait I was joint 38th!!!! I've chosen Stratford. Thanks for the good wishes, I expect you will hear today or tomorrow. Good Luck. Dx0 -
Afternoon all! Just nipped home on my lunch break as my jobcentre is 5 mmins from home (lucky eh!)
On my second day now and loving it!! Just shadowing at the moment, but trying my best to soak up all the bureaucracy!
Good luck everyone..... hang on in there!! :-)0 -

We were allowed home at 3 again today!
It feels a bit as if they don't quite know what to do with us newbies at the moment, today we just registered our computer cards and entered our bank details etc online and that was it. It really was a 30min job that they seemed to stretch out for the majority of the day. They left us to peruse the e-learning induction "useful links" for about 3 hours and said if we got bored of it we could go on breaks and stuff, it all seemed very relaxed!
Apparently tomorrow and the rest of the week we will begin shadowing staff as there is not much else we can do now until we've had our health and safety, customer service etc training which has been booked in for next week and the week after. I'm really enjoying it so far.0 -
Any1 know anything regarding irc 61505 any info would be great0

WELL DONE:beer::beer:
did they say how long the Contract is for?
Like everyone lately, 12 months. 30/11/10.
I am still chuffed though, I might luck out and have it extended. Also, it's easier to get a job when one is in employment so I am not overly worried.I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A0
