We have a payrise on 1st July each year and you'll move up from the minimum then however we have jsut come to the end of a three year pay deal so who knows whether we will get anything next year, if we get nothing then we all stay where we are.

You'll get paid on Thursday 31st December.

Have been reading this forum for weeks now and only posted a couple of msgs. Was finding that I was getting very depressed about the whole process.
OMG - I GOT THE CALL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!:j
Spoke a lovely lady called Hazel who confirmed I had been cleared, then she ran thru a list of offices where I had to give my top 4 preferences. Looking good so far. She now has to call many more people and get their preferences, pass these onto someone else and I should get a call mon/tues.
The contract has been reduced to 1 yr ending 30/11/10. I don't mind this I just want a job. Was made redundant in August, after 22yrs with 1 company and have realised I am not a stop at home mum. Why should anyone hoover every day just to pass the time. Not much else to do, christmas shopping already done and wrapped.

Maybe now I can stop being a miserable !!!!!.:A

GOT ANOTHER CALL

THEY HAVE MADE A MISTAKE - MY CHECKS HAVE NOT ALL COME BACK

SO NOW THEY HAVE MY PREFERENCES BUT CANT PROCEED UNTILL THESE CHECKS HAVE BEEN DONE.

I really have no more strength to carry on. Crying into my pillow .
Does anyone out there have an email address for someone who can tell me what check it is they are waiting for.

Try not to worry, it will probably be your reference checks or your CRB. Have you had your CRB sent back to you?
Hope you get it all sorted, good luck and let us know what they say.

It's been very quiet in here the last two days?? Just a quick update, went to toysrus yesterday, my mobile rang "Hi, this is the DWP calling!! my heart was pounding is this the call!!! NO, we would like to invite you for an interview on 27/11/09 AO position & 28/11/09 EO position, I explained I am already on the list for EO FOR THE SAME AREA'S!! oh was the reply, I asked which area is this for, this is for ICR 64083 I dont know which area it's for! yes not a typo ICR! can still come for the interview? I accepted but do feel what a waste of time & money to ADD ME TO ANOTHER LIST!! albeit a different IRC number, AAgh rant over!!
