This is disgusting, they should have checked your clerance first.

Okay, so what checks did the lady say have being done?

You need to have employment history completed (which they try to do through the inland revenue firstly, failing that, they will write out to the references you have provided).

Then you need your crb back, have you received your copy yet?

Also, if you declared anything on your medical form they will need to investigate that further.

Did she not say she was going to look into this and call you back??

Which area are you in darling?
I don't think the checks actually take that long, so if you find out what they are waiting for maybe you can help chase things.

You are 52nd on the list. They have only posted the top person on the list up to now so it is just a case of waiting for the jobcentre to phone you regarding the start date

So may not even be end Nov but at least the list is MOVING on up!!! :j

Hi all, sorry haven't been on for a week or so but have had problems with my internet.

CONGRATULATIONS to all who have had "the call", it seems like there have been many.

Also CONGRATS to Heather for your job at B&Q, really glad you are enjoying it

I was interviewed by manpower but found the interviewers to be really nice. I did think I had no chance at getting the job though as during the interview I tried to take a drink of water but ending up trying to inhale it instead and ended up choking lol. Mind you the interviewer did say he would like to reassure me that it would not go against me if I wanted to breathe water.

Hi DellaD, it's really nice to hear from someone else from the same IRC, I have not heard anything either, just hoping I can join all the others on the bench waiting.

I think its rubbish and it must be very upsetting.

Everybody makes mistakes (OK DWP make lots :rolleyes:) but I would at least have expected her to elaborate and sort it out.

I would say contact your referees and see if they have heard from DWP other than that can't add anything to unluckyones suggestions.

I can confirm that Jobcentre Plus have started to post candidates from the exercise you are involved in. However postings will be made in strict merit order with those who scored highest at interview posted first.

Jobcentre Plus will be continuing to contact people throughout December. We will be in touch with you during that time if we are able to offer you a post. Otherwise we will contact you in January with a further update.

I understand that is a frustrating time and during the meantime if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
