Hey, i had to do this too and i was told to enter 7.4 in each working day and enter 1 as the number of weeks (i queried this but was told it wont set properly with anymore than 1 in this field). I work 37 hours tho, but im sure if you ask someone they will tell you what to put in. My line manager wrote it all down for me xx

I should probably mention that before i queried the working weeks i put in 52 (going for whats in a year lol) and it was wrong obviously. It wouldnt let me edit either...my line manager had to do it.

Thanks for the prompt reply Sammy. How do I raise a service request on RM.

Oh blimey I can't recall off hand, your LM should be able to tell you, failing that if you PM me your email address at work I'll tell you on Monday, planning to be back at work then or if you do a search for those words on the intranet it'll tell you in RM job aids

  • Hi just a question for Sammyjammy or anyone else who can help.

Like everyone else on here I have been applying for AO and EO on temp contracts. Last week I applied for a job with the Pensions, Disability and Carers Service which was permanent as an AO. The application form was the same as previous but without the competency part. I received an email to complete an online timed test. This test was nothing like anything else that I have faced. It was competency based as well as some numerics but it seems to me that it was aimed at a level a lot higher than the position. Most of the questions were based on a fairly senior position. There were 36 in all but some questions had multiple parts so in total over 50 questions and timed at 75 minutes. Is this normal? Seems a bit harsh for an AO position.
  • Hi people, I have a postion as an AO, but like most if not all was put on a waiting list. They have called my home twice to speak with me but i have been at work both times. They never leave a number for me to get back to them on, does anyone know a number i could call?

They have already sent letters out to my two REF's they got them in the post for me last week.

Starting to get a little worried because i am getting made redundant in my current job next Friday so would like to have a job for xmas

    Hi Anthony
there is a number on your success letter that you can call. They should be able to give you info.
  • After I had my cry out I made two calls.

First Newcastle who confirmed it was just my CRB check (i think the surname smith is causing a problem) and this should take 10 days. From other msgs I understand I should get something in the post. I know my employment history with the Inland Revenue has come back - that only took a week.
Second I called Hazel back and let her know. She confirmed that there was definately a job for me. Not to worry if I miss the 30 Nov start date as they have a few other start dates at the beginning of Dec. Also I won't miss out on my prefrences.
Trying desperately to keep positive - do I believe anything they say.
Extra info - london south is my area. Bexleyheath/Eltham/Lewisham & Woolwich were my choices.
Going to try and chill over the weekend. Best wishes to you all and thanks for your support.
    Hi Cosmo

If this is the first CRB check it is possible that it could take a while. Disclosure Scotland aim to process them in 14 days but if there is a problem such as your drivers number being entered wrong (not by me but by Capita person) then it could take longer. Also if there is someone with a similar name (again I was told this in my case) then again it can take longer. My first CRB check took about six weeks now they fly back. Hope that helps

Hi, this is failry normal, some use the old literacy/numeracy testing and some use the said online test for others. The test is the same for both AO and EO, however the pass mark is obviously different.
