To be honest it sounds identical to the HEO online test i done a few weeks ago, if so, sounds OTT for an AO role.

I completed the online test myself on Wednesday and it seemed okay to me.

With it being a permanent role (based in Crewe, Cheshire if I recall) I guess there is a lot of scope for career progression. I would also suppose they want a candidate who could perhaps move onwards and upwards in a career with DWP.

    :)
  • To all still waiting, the call will come so persevere, start 4th week of training on Monday, its all very different to my manufacturing background but relevant. My training group is made up of 14 people with a wide variety of experiences we were all frustrated by the recruitment process but that is the it is, it will not change, so good luck to all still waiting I will keep you informed of my progress.

    Thanks in advance.

You will not get paid on Christmas Eve, payday is on last working day of the month and therefore for December this will be Thursday 31st December.

You may get one days pay for the 30/11 at some time in December though.

Congratulations to everyone who has recently got the call. Just a quick question for those who are starting soon, how long from success letter to call were you waiting?

HI THANKS FOR THE CONGRATS, I HAD MY INTERVIEW AT THE END OF JULY AND RECIEVED MY SUCESS LETTER ON 6TH AUGUST, THEN HAD A LONG WAIT FOR 'THE CALL'.
THEY RANG ME AROUND THE 10TH NOV, SO HAD BEEN WAITING JUST OVER THREE MONTHS. THIS IS PROBABLY DUE TO THE FREEZE THEY PUT ON RECRUITMENT THOUGH, IT HAS NOW BEEN LIFTED SO HOPEFULLY YOU WONT NEED TO WAIT THAT LONG.
ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE AND I HOPE YOU HEAR FROM THEM SOON.

Well my line manager wasnt sure what I enter, lol

@Sammy, would anything happen if I left it as it is

If you don't get this altered you will be paid as a part timer i.e. the 35.6 hours you have told them is your working pattern.
You need to complete a DWP LCWP1 ( retrospective change of working pattern) backdated to your starting date and attach it as a service request in RM.
Any line manager should be able to help you with this.
