I received a rejection letter this morning so I guess I don't have to worry about waiting lists :rolleyes:0
-
My CRB came today so I will forward it to them on Monday, another step up the ladder0

i keep reading this post and keeping up to date with everyones progress i have been waiting since start of january done my crb check etc and on waiting list still have had 3 letters and they all say different things on them but it does say they cannot guarantee you a placement. so you might be on the waiting list for some time. like me i have been waiting a long time and will continue to search for other jobs after i have been made redundant 2 weeks ago. i keep reading peoples posts saying their behind with their rent etc and bills well its not the dwp fault it aint paid not being nasty but there are resources available to almost everyone. its a waiting game and you will be contacted when there is a postion available for you or am i the only person who read this.0

Shaun, thanks for the post. As my original CRB cert has been mislaid I would certainly take a couple of photocopies first and send the original by recorded delivery as Disclosure Scotland have already advised me that a replacement would cost £20!0

Afternoon all. I have just received a letter from the local council job that I applied for. I didn't even get an interview even though I applied through the guaranteed interview scheme for disabled people! Am absolutely livid that, although I'm disabled, I am fully qualified and able to do the job but the council have decided that I am not good enough to work for them. I only got a standard letter with a scanned signature.
Am considering reporting the council for discrimination. At least the DWP gave me an interview, even if they have still not got back to me, over 3 weeks after interview. They could of at least just said no. I have a feeling that the majority of the jobs will be taken through internal apps and it will be just like the last time!
Hope the rest of you have more success than me. xLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:
Current debt levels: OD £3860, Loan 1 £6091, Loan 2 £5052, Parents £260, Total £16133  As at 01 May 2012 - 51.69% paid off :j

Believe me that is not the case. There are two levels of recruitment exercises going on now - the first one started on a smaller scale at local level and the second one is massive and started at national level after it was forecast that unemployment would rise between 60%-70% by the end of 2010. For the first time in over 30 years local offices have received money for extra staff without having to ask for it let alone fight for it. As people on here have said the DWP is desperate for staff at a local level now, so a huge increase in claims needs a huge increase in staffing levels to cope. Hang in there.Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -

I have never understood this, if they dont think your not god enough then why you worried about a guaranteed interview?
I have applied for many jobs and not got an interview even though I am sure I am more than capable of doing the job.
But if however I am not good enough for the job I would rather be rejected than attend a guaranteed interview for no reason at all0 -
Couldnt agree more;besides one can be overqualified for a position and this as such migh as well be the reason for not being shortlisted for an interview. I was hoping I'd hear from the DWP today but still nothing. Pity it is.0
