    Hi again Kingy44

    You are very welcome.

The CRB is a positive thing I think, I'm still waiting............

You know where I am if you need a chat or some advice, good luck, it can be very draining and time consuming going to an Employment Tribunal, luckily I have a good solicitor and barrister.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and wishes, the same applies to you too.

Hello mb, know what you mean by sitting at home, its so mind numbingly boring, i too have suffered unemployment since Dec last year for the first time in my working life and its so frustrating not earning, paying bills etc, i thought last Christmas was bad being made redundant but think this one is going to be worse! But onwards & upwards, i have a feeling that i may be getting somewhere today. Just had a reply back from Stephanie at customer resourcing to say she is going to check where i am on the list. My interview was for AO but got a call to say they have given me the EO role, cant help thinking that if i had said thanks but no thanks i'll go with the AO i would be working now. :o
    Hi Cap123

I know what you mean. I wish I'd applied for an AO myself, would have probably been working by now, like others I could have progressed to an EO whilst working as an AO. Still, it's all in hindsight.

Yes, it is brain numbing, thank god for computers and being able to interact with other people in a similar position to yourself. I think I would have gone stir crazy otherwise.

I am sorry to hear that you have not been in work for the last 12 months. I finished in May, I thought that was bad enough. I really hope you get some good news soon. Have you applied for any other roles or have you just been waiting on the DWP?

Right then, just rang Newcastle today ref IRC 62504 and spoke to George. He confirmed my position as 89/128.

I told George I was told originally I was 67th when I got my successful letter in Oct and then 96th about three weeks ago and I was confused as Derek told me that 28 people had been requested from the Business Centre so therefore I would be 68th.

George couldn't deny or confirm this information. He did say that no-one had been employed from this list as yet and that they had done CRB checks for the first 73 on the list, so no CRB check for me as yet boo hoo :(

I hope the above is of some help to others on the forum.

As for me, I'm just gonna sit on the bench and wait lol

Just got the email i was waiting for and its the same ole nonsense.
    She said,
JCP are currently reviewing their staffing intake and future requirements, hopefully we will soon be in a position to provide all successful candidates with more info. Any decisions regarding offers of employment are made by the local business area, regrettably until we receive further info from jcp i am unable to advise as to when postings will be made from the recruitment exercise. blah blah blah.
    Nice...
I am so hoping that i get an job with someone else soon, i cannot believe how this has all worked out, can you? to have someone say to you, congratulations, you have the job, not only do you have the job, but you have promotion, then leave you hanging, for months, it just wouldn't happen anywhere else would it?
    OK, sorry. ranting over.

and even then it's for a totally different role.
  • I am so glad I found this forum! I applied for Executive Officer position at the end of July.... I got a phone call in September, well a voicemail.... saying can you come in for asessment tomorrow!! I was out of the country and furious when I rang back and suggested I could be 'assessed' somewhere else on another day, but they wouldn't have any of that. I gave up, when I got another call.... this time I had 3 days notice and went for assessment. I passed (yes I know and I can't spell!). Then a week after I had an interview.... Well 1 and a half hour filling in forms I had already filled in20 minutes interview (which went very well). I waited and waited and waited.... Tried to call a number 100's of times.... NO ONE EVER PICKED UP!!! Then I got another voicemail saying to call back..... I did.... couln't get through.... when I did a week later.... The person couldn't help me!! The voila someone called me and asked me to give new refs as the one person hadn't got back to them and the other hadn't known me long enough (fair enough)........ Then I give new refs..... I get another email saying.... you will be contacted by job centre plus when they have a start date. I emailed back asking how long this would take and could I have a contact name and number for the person dishing out the start dates...... She wouldn't give me a number and apharently I'm 17th on a list now!!! I just feel so low..... I have been so long now without a job and my partner went out and got champers (I did say not to!) And now I just don't know what to say or do...... This has been so much hassle and I have been deld with so dishonestly, It's really making me wish none of this had ever started! x
  • Hi, I've been following the thread since my interview for 61880 on 7 Sept. Congratulations to all those around the UK who have started or have been given start dates. Received successful letter 3 Oct and was told last week that all my checks are complete. I havn't seen anyone one here who has been recruited for 61880 yet or have I missed them?
