    ?????? The Call

I'm also waiting, almost identical timescale to yours. Emails and telephone calls have confirmed all checks done and now we have to wait until end Nov....................if we don't hear by then, more emails and calls to come. Fingers crossed :o
  • well im :j:j:j:j

as most of u will know i got offered a job for AO which was more of a marketing job, which i turned down, however i rcvd a letter saying thankyou for accepting position, which was confusing, on Sammy's advice i called them to clarify what was going on and see if they had anything else,

well a lovely lady called carol called me back today, to offer me a customer based position in a better location ie cavendish court, on same terms pay etc, starting training on Monday at doncaster, so i asked if this wud be ok as i had prev turned position down, lucky me as they hadnt got me down as saying i didnt want the position, i cud accept this one, so at least there mess up was a good one for me lol
so as of Monday im an AO and a very happy lady, thankyou Sammy and every1 else who has sent lovely msgs of support etc, im going out tomo to :beer::beer::beer:, good luck every who is still waiting
Thats brilliant news :jI wish you the best of luck for Monday.
So glad its all worked out for you. Dont forget us back here now will you. Have a great celebration this weekend
  • Congratulations to everyone who has had the call this week, especially to sweetikklemunchkin, that really is great news. You really deserve it after all the waiting and how you have kept us all entertained!

Just thinking........... it surely has to make me the longest serving one left now, don`t know whether to laugh or cry!
  • I recently joined the DWP on an 18 month contract as an EO with Jobcentre Plus but I want to apply for a permanent job.
I was wondering if anyone knew if you can apply for internal jobs with DWP whilst you are still in your probation?
I have rang the HR department and they said you can't but then other colleagues say you can. I was wondering if anyone knew a bit more about this?
    Thanks.

I have had enough now, after yet another rejection letter ( Non DWP) I feel very angry, down, saddend and frustrated that DWP (Recruitment side) are allowed to treat us in this unfair, thoughtless way!! I shouldnt have to be sat here an out of work healthy 25 year old woman upset at yet another rejection letter, when i am "SUPPOSEDLY" a successful candidate for the AO job i applied for with DWP
    July Applied
    August Interview
September CRB and all checks clear
October Email telling me 9th on the merit list, freeze to be lifted end of October
Last week Email telling me they do not know, and can not tell me when or if the freeze is lifted!!!
Sorry for the rant, i had to let off a bit of steam somewhere.
Could some1 please give me Louise Perrys email address, Thankyou.

  • Tbh I have emailed Louise a number of times and they tell me the same thing over and over again - pause until end of November and even then they can't tell us when we will be posted! It's ridiculous isn't it!
  • it is absolutely ridiculous.
they keep changing the the update dates, and each time we arrive at that date they change it again.

I think its disgusting. Just having to wait until the end of October was terrible, but then extending it to the end of November is unbelievable. They need to get their act together!
