    as most of u will know i got offered a job for AO which was more of a marketing job, which i turned down, however i rcvd a letter saying thankyou for accepting position, which was confusing, on Sammy's advice i called them to clarify what was going on and see if they had anything else,

    well a lovely lady called carol called me back today, to offer me a customer based position in a better location ie cavendish court, on same terms pay etc, starting training on Monday at doncaster, so i asked if this wud be ok as i had prev turned position down, lucky me as they hadnt got me down as saying i didnt want the position, i cud accept this one, so at least there mess up was a good one for me lol
    so as of Monday im an AO and a very happy lady, thankyou Sammy and every1 else who has sent lovely msgs of support etc, im going out tomo to :beer::beer::beer::beer:, good luck every who is still waiting

    :T:T:TWELL DONE:j:j Really made up for you:beer::beer::beer:
  • So, had my second day today. Still more shadowing, still no RM access. Witnessed quite a few rough customers, very shocking to say the least. Manager took me through the process of signing on a customer, it was weird becuase of the two people I have been shadowed neither are following this process. I don't know what to expect now really. It will be interesting to go back to training centre next week and discuss with the other new starters in my training group to see how they have got on.

    Agreed, Heather - it is hotting up. Let's hope we get calls soon - perhaps not Caithness, though ;)

    SammyJammy,
    Remember my question regarding the continued benefits after one returns to work?

    I have found out that as long as you have being on JSA for six months whether it be contribution or income based you will be entitled to the job grant (£100) and one month extra housing benefit.

    I also dug around and found out that I qualified for working tax credit although I am single with no children. Apparently as my salary between now and April will be less than £10000, I will get it for those months. You have to call HMRC though to do the initial checks first as to whether one qualifies.

    I hope this information helps others.

    Thanks for this !!! Just given HMRC a ring, and even though I haven't claimed for years (since my kids left school), my claim was still open and they were able to deal with me straight away, and looks like I am entitled to something !!:T

    Everyone has their own style of dealing with customers on front line. If you make sure your customers have followed all the steps on their job seekers agreement (as they agreed to do!) then you're there. If they haven't it could be the jsag isn't tight enough or it's wrong then it's back to an advisor to have it changed. The JSAG is JCP's holy grail!
