Any ideas what dept the NI Team would be in - could it come under finance ?

No the NI team will be part of the Jobcentre in Customer Service Directorate.

Starting Salary £15,150 (pro rata for part time) on a scale of £15,150 to £17,780

Thanks ever so much for getting back to me, i heard that people just joining the company start on a lower rate and after 3 or 6 months of work the salary rises?

Does anyone know if this true?

Cheers:T

Hey, I'm sorry to tell you but it looks like you're one of the few who have been left waiting until after the freeze. They're meant to be looking at everyone in your situation and giving you all start dates before anyone on the new recruitment lists.

There are a few others still waiting, from both 61139 and 61099 (AO and EO) all interviewed in July. I would say hold on and don't give up but I know how disheartening it can be waiting.

Chase them every opportunity you get, email, call whatever it takes to let them know you're still here waiting and not willing to be forgotten about.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting and I hope you all get your dates soon

HI JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS FOR YOUR ENCOURAGING WORDS AND LET YOU KNOW I HAVE HAD MY 'CALL' AND I START ON THE 30TH NOV, SO SO HAPPY. THANKS AGAIN FOR KEEPING ME POSITIVE.:rotfl:

Interested to read you went for the Merseyside vacancies. I too have passed a board, for AO, and am now on a merit list awaiting "the call." However, I was surprised to see that they have just started recruiting again for new AOs to fill vacancies in all the Merseyside and Wirral offices!

So how come I haven't been contacted, even after passing my AO board? Should I get in touch with them to query this or what?

hi there, i think it depends on where you chose to work. The freeze has only just been lifted on these irc numbers also so you might get your call in the next couple of days.
they didnt ever get in touch with me until 'the call' i kept pestering them, so if i was you i would keep ringing them and asking for updates and emailing them too. The number i was using is 01912166925 that is just for the north west area, i got this number off employee shared services. Also heres the email address you can try, resourcing.customerservices@dwp.gsi.gov.uk
hope this has helped you out a little, advice to you is keep positive and keep contacting them. You time will come, all the best for the future.
• Congratulations to everyone who has recently got the call. Just a quick question for those who are starting soon, how long from success letter to call were you waiting?
• Just wondering....for the people that are lucky enough to be picked up as a contracted AO, are they entitled to sickness and holiday benefits? If so, how many sickness days and Holidays does an AO on a short term contract get?
