  • it did indeed, how u gettin on u heard anything yet hunny

Nope, nothing. It was two weeks ago today I rang up and the lady said I should hear in the next couple of weeks. So that's today! So I think I'll ring back about three for an update . What's worrying me is they got to the 60s in the list in a few days but two weeks later they haven't reached 90!
  • well the plot thickens, i have just had a call from a lovely lady called Sue, who has given me a choice of working @cavendish court as accepted yesterday, or revert back to the original offer of employer engagement, but she has told me exactly what the position entails and is basically a new job role, and id not just be in the back room calling ppl, but id be out and about, doing promotional events, information giving, and cud be in sheffield one day then rotherham the next etc, it wud be a small team, of about 4 including my manager and Sue who called me, and get this, if it is a remote part of South Yorkshire and no1 driving, i can book the DWP works car and take that, im so confused now tho coz i dont know what to do, she said the training wud pretty much be the same, but it wud mean that i am in there at the start of this new venture and help to build it up, im gob smacked, got to let her know later today, she seems really nice too, so its gone from no dwp job, to 2 now lol

    Slight update -

    17th September - Interview/Tests
    8th October - Success Letter
11th November - CRB Recieved via Newcastle (dated 26th Oct)
13th November - Email - "Just to confirm all your checks have cleared and now you are just waiting for the jobcentre to call you with a start date."
    ?????? The Call

I know this is probably normal, but I'm over the moon! The second they give me a start date, I'm putting my suit on and driving down to camp outside the JCP I'm posted to to see if I can't start sooner!

Maybe you should go in your scruffs, and take a patient dog.. you might collect a few quid while you are waiting outside!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh, and the manager might start you sooner just to have the potential undesireable moved from outside the door! he heheheh!

fingers crossed you get your start date soon

Wow that actually sounds good, a lot better than before. It's a difficult one. Also, maybe thinking long term and the chances of getting a permanant contract, would this new role improve your chances?

I would take the original job, a lot less stressful than dealing with the general public all day everyday.
