Good luck to you also.
Di you know where you are on the list? I'm sure an accident could be taken into account, and put you in a later batch of postings! Good Luck anyway0 -

Yes, after reading the wee note, you can't just tick one - suppose the one you tick doesn't need staff? Not sure what neck of the woods any of these places are - Lancashire? In any event, its looking really good for you, so lets hope you hear very soon with a start date.
Haven't heard from B & Q (surprise, surprise lol!). They are probably still struggling to contain their laughter.......!0 -

heathertheblether wrote: »Ha couldn't stop laughing when I read your post about the job!:rotfl:Yes Lancashire Heather! I really hope you get the call too, I think there's only you & fdennis (who I can remember anyway) who have been on here forever waiting for the call!! All the very best
Yeah, I seem to have been on here for ages, as does fdennis. I think there are a couple of other "old lags" as well. Having said that, how many hundreds are there that don't know about this forum and are clueless as to the current position regarding dwp recruitment? Scary.
Not as scary as the wretched interview, though lol! My kids could'nt stop laughing either when I told them, so you aren't alone! :rotfl:0 -
Congrats to all who have had the call this last few days! YAY
Sammy, i have a question for you (if you dont mind hun). I started my position as band B/AO on monday, and its fab so far, but one of my colleagues was sayign today that they are posting again on 23rd of Nov for band C/EO in my area. As this is the level i wanted in the first place (but wasnt prepared enough and failed interview) i would very much like to try my luck at it again. Im on a fixed term contract of UP TO 18 months (my actual date for end of term is 3rd dec 2010). The problem is...this post, it states that many people posted may be used as "wastage"...ie, first out the door (no fixed term contract i assume).
I dont know what im asking to be honest. Will it go against me to apply for other positions not even a month into the job? And this "wastage" thing....would they take people on for only a few months, or is it possible to be worth my while going for this?
Arghh decisions decisions. The thing is, now that ive started and seen my actual job role and the role of people at advisor level, i SO much want to be at that level0 -
Heather
I have followed this forum for quite a long time and look on yourself in the same light as Venus, Mandie and others. That is nice people who are sensible and are looking to inprove things for themselves and their families. If prospective employers, even the DWP overlords, read this forum they would realise that there are people that they are overlooking and messing about, who would be a prize asset to thier organisation. Need I say more.0 -

Go for it, it won't go against you. The business is well aware that there are many people sitting at band B level who held more senior positions before they joined DWP and basically applied for the AO to secure employment.0 -

That is such a nice thing to say whisky and i totally agree. There are so many lovely people on here who dont deserve to be messed about, and who deserve to have every bit of happiness wether in this role or another. x0 -
