  • I was on the list for Hyde BDC and was horrified to hear the news yesterday, Today I received an email asking me if I wanted to be transfered to a job centre instead, and where would be my preferences in the area, so fingers crossed again.

This doesn't sound too bad - at least you have heard SOMETHING. Everything crossed lol! ;)

It could be that even though you did pass the tests, due to the sheer number of those applying and passing they decided to take the top x candidates that passed and progress them. In other words they have probably progressed those with higher pass mark.

Similar thing happened to me for an AA posistion a while ago, they didn't inform me, I only found out when I called and chased up.

    Hope this helps

This was for an EO role and Idid pass the tests to EO level. The letter states so.I called them up on Friday 30th and on 2nd Monday the letter was sent.It is not the same person who sent me the earlier letters. The letter looks unprofessional, does not state details clearly
Thank you guys it could be true..the application of this IRc was different as well..It had the competencies in the appplication form and was chosen to sit the tests after that. When I called the local JCP Manpower and all the numbers I had, no one had a clue abt this role. Now I have to keep my fingers crossed for the AO that I applied(62979)

Thats GREAT news! Well done! How much pleasure are you going to get when DWP eventually phone and you can tell them to stuff it?!!!!!!

Enjoy your evening in Lewes! :j
  • Thank you for that!
I am not going to stop searching for a position as the salary is 1/3 less than I was getting whilst employed. Plus my old job was 10 mins walk away. But, it is a start.

    Thylacine,
I am so looking forward to Bonfire night in Lewes. Party time!!

Am I the only one left still waiting on 60535 on here? Think the rest have been placed.

Just got a really bad feeling something is going to happen and I wont get the call  By the numbers given to me I should have been called by now
  • I had forgotten to mention that when I interview for the position I gave my old mobile number, I called Newcastle and ask them to change it, of course they said they did.

So I did not get a call but an email asking me to call the recruitment office. Which I did and got the job offer.

The lady she tried calling me several times and her last resort was my email. Luckily I keep it on all day.

Its worthwhile when you do talk to someone to let them verify the number they have for you.
