  • Hi

I'll be based in Lincolnshire. I hope you get good news soon :rotfl:
  • IRC 60730

I got the 'call' just now.

It was not at my first or second choice as they are both packed to the rafters, the salary is less but it is work and I am happy for it.

I will continue my job search though as the money whilst not bad is not great either.

I was 28 on list so they seem to be moving quite fast.

  • I applied for the IRC 62668 EO role. London Region. Recieved a letter dated 20th October saying I've been successful and that they were now doing the final checks.

Decided to chase, so gave a call on Tuesday. Was told that 401 people had passed the tests for the 62668 and I was 118 on the merit list. The man did say that my check from the IR had come back really quick within the week but they were just waiting for the CRB check, this was sent 2wks ago and takes about 4wks.

Is there anyone out there who has applied for this role in the Southwark/Lambeth or Bexleyheath area who has a start date.
  • Hi all,

Well depressing news for me I'm afraid.

I was joint first on the merit list for IRC 61302, pre-employment checks were complete etc etc. So I finally managed to contact the lady dealing with my IRC at the JCP to be told "Forget it, if you get offered something else take it"

Apparently due to funding issues and mergers there are no jobs available anymore and that is the case for the foreseeable future. She said this was the case for all Contact Centres. I asked her when I was going to be informed of this and she replied "you weren't" So as far as the JCP are concerned it is not their job to inform successful candidates that the job they applied for no longer exists!

What a complete waste of time and money! My local MP has an open surgery this Saturday, I think a visit is in order. This has been a complete shambles from start to finish and these are the people responsible for getting people back to work, what a joke!

I hope other people on here are more successful than I was...

Oh thats just awful. Im so sorry. I phoned about the Cardiff EO as a user had the call the other day but the woman I spoke to still fobbed me off that there was a freeze, she eventually said yes they are moving now. I just think not only do thye not know what they are talking about they do not care. She couldnt wait to get me off the phone. It was as if she knew I didnt stand a chance but rather than tell me just get me off the phone. I was interviewed 31st July and have been 21 on the list since August. I think its time to forget it.

Yes see your MP. We should all kick up a stink. They have messed with people's lives. You cant raise hopes then leave people hanging mid air. What did they think? That we would all simply think oh well never mind and be put off with unanswered calls like a teenager trying to give a boy/girlfriend the pushoff!

Im lucky in that I am in a job. Not happy really but it will see me though. Some people are not working and even left their jobs.

Its a farce. This is our government. Great.
  • So are you saying there are no jobs no matter what region you've applied for.

How can this be - new posistions are still being posted on their website.

Thats the problem isnt it - there is no definative answer. We just dont know whats going on. I mean how can one person get the call and another person on the same list be told there is still a freeze. We are meant to try and piece all bits of info together and hope for the best.

Like the list saga. I was told twice that Cardiff EO 60895 never had 2 lists. Everyone went on one waiting list.

I just want closure. Either place me or tell me I wont be placed.

That is exactly what we cannot understand.
If you find out the reason for this please share.

Im sorry to here this Sparky, with the current climate the news must be even more hard hiting. I agree that JCP can mess things up, too many departments too many people. Just keep your chin up and remember that things will get better a positive outlook results in positive outcomes!
