Surprised your letter mentioned a "waiting list" but then you got told you were on the merit list.

My letter mentioned no list, but found out I was 320th out of 400 on my list. There were 750 vacancies for this exercise apparently.

Still waiting to hear back from my CRB. The woman said it would take up to 20 days...is this true?

Do you have a tel number for this IRC?

FINALLY I got the call!!!!! I received my waiting list letter on 18th August and phoned the CRB people on 16th October who claimed they had no record of an application for my checks, but today while I was out shopping I got a missed call on my mobile. I called back and spoke to one of the lady's colleagues who wanted to confirm that I was still interested and when I could start. I explained that I have a holiday (which I won!!) booked for next week but I can start on 24th. He said they'd book that in as a provisional date to start, but to call him when I was home either this evening (unfortunately didn't get home in time) or tomorrow morniing and he'd give me the details of my line manager etc.

The job I went for was an EO position in Cardiff, apparently I'll be working in Canton as a Personal Adviser, I presume that's 'frontline'? I'm so excited, I've been unemployed for 6 months following redundancy so am looking forward to starting work again. I can't wait to speak to the guy again tomorrow and find out all the information and get the start date confirmed.

Good luck to everyone else who's waiting, hopefully lots more calls will be received this week!!

Your EO training will depend on what role you'll be undertaking, within that the trainnig should be the same across the country but particularly in non-Adviser rolesit differs dramatically so you'll just have to wait and see.

By the way for whoever asked FJR is Fortnightly Jobsearch review (what they do when customers go in to sign on)
"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "
  • Congrats to all who had the call today, thats fantastic!

My first day in my office went pretty good. Found out that i will be doing FJRs (fortnightly job reviews) and am also in charge or internal mail and the ordering of all stationary for the office (eek lol). I sat in with people today watching them do FJRs, new claims, rapid re-claims etc and it was pretty interesting. Also found out my training sessions (got quite a lot to go to.....but will be going with Victoria (victoriaplum lol) so thats good...

anyway just checking in. Hope everyone else is getting on ok xxx

When your details have been passed to Business servises, does that mean they are ready to make the call or is it another looong wait?

What is the approximate waiting time from then?

Would they pass you to business if there are no vacancies yet?

I got passed to the business services at the end of july, start of august and didnt get the call til the 7tg october so it can be a bit of a wait for some xx

    Slitty was 60369.

I had a call today re: both 60369 and 60370 in response to my email complaint from the 22nd Oct. Apparently they're going to try to sort me out an interview for 60369 to make up for all the stuff ups.

With regards 60370, I was told they've only just started placing people. That ties in with Newcastle having sent one of my personal references a letter asking for a ref on me. I was apparently 58th on the list, but now 54th as the first couple have been placed.

Some further info I got is that apparently if you are in a joint position on the list, they place everyone with that score simultaneously. As such the list can be worked through a lot quicker than you'd think. Anyway, I was told it would likely be a couple more weeks before I'd hear anything on 60370.

In the meantime, I had my 6 month review today. I now qualify for the bribe to employers, which I've passed on to my agent, who has passed it on to the people I interviewed with yesterday. I'm expecting to know tomorrow whether or not I can give the DWP a virtual look at my middle finger and start a much better job next week. Got everything crossed!

    Thank you for that update:T

I have been out of work since February and not working is driving me bonkers! Hopefully they will get to those of us waiting for 60370 quickly and before Christmas.
