DWP employment waiting list

Thankyou heather and Cap123, people often tell me that im more mature than most people my age, i think that is down to having a child to look after and being self reliant at a young age, as most people my age either still live with their parents or go to university, where at university most are still supported by the state. But anyways
I also hope to make some friends and get some form of social life as i moved to area a live now (Gloucester) only 9 weeks ago and have 0 friends here, i wonder if there is anyone reading this that works or will soon be working at the Gloucester Jobcentre would be good to hear from you.
You are very welcome Nick, i think DWP picked up on your ability to convey your maturity in a way that would help other people and if they have any sense they will hang onto you. I'm sure as soon as you start work you will find other people to socialise with as well. Also, i too remember what its like to be 21 with a baby.. not easy is it without money. Anyway, onwards and upwardsGood luck once again, i'm sure you will love it.

Thanks again, i think my head is about to explode with these compliments lol, yes it can be difficult with a baby and no money, i never let me daughter see when times are hard because no matter what circumstances me and my partner may be in my daugher shouldnt be exposed to bad situations, she is a very happy little girl. And now we will have a happy christmas, a proper turkey rather than turkey twizzlers lol.11K Challenge

Well said! Exactly what I was thinking! I moved to Dundee from Shrewsbury when I was 18 and didn't know a soul. I soon made friends at work, who introduced me to other friends, etc. It doesn't take long. Your partner, too, will make friends at baby clinic/parent and baby groups etc. Anyway, best of luck to you Nick0 -
Just got a letter re IRC61153 - basically:
'you passed the assessment day, you are on waiting list, waiting list lasts for 6 months, hope to place you in this time frame, though not guaranteed.'
Mmmmm - not sure if I am pleased or not.

I hadn't received a letter but since I started as a Band B AO the week before my interview I got the details from a colleague who had also applied and sent an internal email. Apparently I am 5th on the waiting list but it will be at least a month before I hear anything else.
From my current training group I know that plenty of offices are currently at full capacity for EO and that there are at least 25 training groups with 20ish people in each. Due to this I don't expect much to happen for a while which suits me as I want to stay in my current office and there definitely aren't any vacancies there! As I am extremely new there is an outside possibility I could stay in my current office which would be great, in the meantime I am loving FJR.
Cheers

I applied for this exercise - they had so many applications that they had to raise the mark apparently - and my mark wasnt good enough to be on merit list so im not on a waiting list as such but a "warm list" - if and when they need me - they will call me in for tests/interview so its not like a waiting list where i've already passed!0
