DWP employment waiting list

Isn't the business area just the local JCPs you specified?0

is anyone else waiting for IRC 61866 Hyde BDC, North West?
just wondering if anyone has been posted for this?0 -
I hadn't received a letter but since I started as a Band B AO the week before my interview I got the details from a colleague who had also applied and sent an internal email. Apparently I am 5th on the waiting list but it will be at least a month before I hear anything else.
From my current training group I know that plenty of offices are currently at full capacity for EO and that there are at least 25 training groups with 20ish people in each. Due to this I don't expect much to happen for a while which suits me as I want to stay in my current office and there definitely aren't any vacancies there! As I am extremely new there is an outside possibility I could stay in my current office which would be great, in the meantime I am loving FJR.
Cheers
Notsluap
Congratulations on your job as an AO and good luck for the EO position too. Are you referring to IRC 62504, when you say you are 5th on the list?
I hope I am not being rude, but this is only the second reply I have received to my posts on MSE for this job description, so I can ask some questions of you?
Why will it be a month before you hear anything else?
Is it OK with the DWP to take a job as an AO and then move on to an EO grade within the space of a few months?
It sounds like they have all the EO's they need for the time being, do you know how many EO's are required for this job title IRC 62504?
Which office do you work in now and what is FJR?
Thanks in advance on answering some of the above Q's!0 -
I'm confused. After sorting out the reference problems I was having, Newcastle emailed that all checks are cleared and have been handed to business.
I called around some of the offices I had ticked and they insist that Newcastle are the ones who make 'the call'. Does this mean they lie when they say appointments are up to the business?
Who can I call coz the lady taking care of my IRC is always not at her desk or on holiday (I can never get her to pick up her phone).
GrrrrrrI can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A0 -

I was told a weeks notice as it is a temp job, but now they are saying that it is a week from the Saturday...I really wanted to have a few days off before starting my new job....grrr..
Sorry I shouldn't be annoyed about that, I am in a very lucky position and just hope that everyone gets good news soon....x0 -

Whereas I am a lot further down the list @ 67/91 on the merit list for IRC 62504. I was disappointed to say the least when they told me this @ Newcastle. I thought I had done really well in the interview.
However, I remember at my competency interview, the one woman didn't even look at me when she asked me her half of the questions which I thought was extremely rude. After my interview both ladies made a very quick exit and went home, as I sat outside and waited for someone else who was having their interview. I wasn't very impressed with the competency interview or being forced to fill in private forms with other applicants peering over your shoulder as there were ten of us pushed on to 2 x small tables.
We were all told to use the DWP address in Newcastle for the CRB, so how will I know if all is OK?
Thanks in advance & Congratulations to everyone who has received a start date.
Xtra GL to all those who haven't including meeeeee!0 -
i had a call today offering me a start date of 30th november irc 61492. i should be grateful but the shine has gone since i applied back in june for this irc. thought i would just share some good news with everyone. this irc was affected by the freeze but it now seems to have lifted at least in the west mids area. fingers crossed for everyone still waiting and thanks for all the support this thread has provided, not only for me but for everyone else still waiting. keep haning in there.
Know what you mean about shine wearing off, i applied in July and still waiting, would love another job to come up so i can politely refuse their kind offer :rolleyes:0 -

I did my N & L, for an AO in Caerphiliy, on the 18th of September, had my interview on the 23rd and the success letter on the 29th of Sept, on a 6 months waiting list. I am yet to get my CRB, since it's my first CRB i didn't expect it to be this long. Does CRBs usually take 5weeks for a first timer???
Also i spoke with a friend that works at JBC+, and she said for me to be on a waiting list means i didn't perform well at the interview, and chances of them calling is very slim (This really made my day today, if you get my drift). Please did anyone actually failed the interview, and did anyone get a withdrawal letter at the end of the waiting period.
I am really confused, i am desperate for a job, and now this!!!
Hi Karrytomuch
I had to wait 6 weeks for my crb. Also, when i applied for an AO back in July the managers who interviewed me said that i passed with a high mark on tests and so would like to offer me the EO job instead, i was very happy indeed .. until i came across this forum and realised that i would be waiting and waiting and still waiting lol. So dont worry, i was even told there was no list! :rolleyes:0
