Hi,
CONGRATUATIONS TO ALL THAT HAVE HAD A CALL ON A PLACEMENT !!!!
I emailed the person on the recent ltr and got a phone call from a very nice woman a couple of days later.
Good and bad news for me, I am higher up on the EO than AO Merit List. Was then told that I am more likely to get a position as EO but will be on the next round of recruitment, if and when that accurrs.
Just a waiting game now !!!!!:rolleyes:0 -
I have been reading this thread since I applied for a job with the DWP.It gives a good insight into the actual waiting period.
I applied for IRC 62995 London and passed the tests .Anyone else applied for this one??0 -
Typically....after all the waiting ive done, im due to start on Monday and i have the flu. I feel positively awful lol! Never mind tho, it'll take a lot more than that to keep me away....i'll be there on my first day, bugs/germs and all!0

Congrats to all who have had the call in last few days. And good luck to everyone starting on Monday! xx0

I am out of the office until 02 November 2009. My e-mails will be monitored. If your query is urgent please contact Sue Bowe on 0191 2166238
Sue was unavailable but a guy called Andy told me everything i needed to know, give it a go, it rung for a bit but he did answer, good luck let me know how u get on
Ok, forgot to write that number down, then the forum was down till 6
But, got through to the number on that letter, the person whose name is on it wasn't there but the lady who answered asked if she could help. I basically asked her if she could tell me where I was on the list and would I get a call anytime soon.
I'm now 90, and she said "looking very good for a December start and a call within the next few weeks", she also stated they were close to me.
To be honest a December start would be good only if I get to know pretty soon as I am currently working but would like to finish before the end of November, so would help with notice and financial planning, not to mention I have a small holiday end of Nov that current work don't know about as I didn't think I'd be there
So it just looks like more waiting this next week for the call. You should be very close to a call with the numbers she said. It's reassured me more speaking to someone though even though it's basically what we already knew.0 -
LOL im based in Fife...dont worry, im past the contagious stage haha0

hope you feel better soon and best of luck for monday. i have loved my first 2 weeks and the training is so much fun. everyone is really friendly and cant wait to get to my job centre now.
Thanks MaisetteIm glad your enjoying it so far! Hopefully your jobcentre will be fab too! I actually met the woman who will be doing my training, yesterday. She was lovely so thats put me at ease. I was in seeing my lone parent advisor to sign off all benefits, and the woman came over to say hi. Makes it a bit easier if u have friendly people to work with eh!
