About two months ago I was 100 out of 300 I got told. So you have to think some people won't have passed the checks or dropped out so could be a little lower now but it's just guessing. Pablo was 56 so it's worrying me a bit that they won't reach that.

Hmm, so I should be 70 then?? It's strange how they work this. Unless it meant Pablo went from 56 to 25 because of the 31 turned down. I don't think I could wait until after christmas, 7 months is just a joke.

yeah he cud not say why i have moved up the list by 31 but was told it could be because of the reasons i mentioned b4, but i think its a mixture of all of them, so just more waiting to look forward to, and if its any concellation, if its not my perfect office, ie they try and shove me to barnsley etc, then i will be turning it down too, so at least 1 more person will have a chance x

Ha, that would be my choice. Who did you ring? The contact info on the letter is pointless as you don't get a response.

With reference to your e-mail dated 29th October 2009, regarding the above Selection Exercise.

As you will know, Jobcentre Plus are currently reviewing their staffing position and future requirements. We expect to have a firmer idea of future opportunities soon; however we have been advised that this review may not be completed before late November 2009.

I have however checked the merit list for this exercise, and I can confirm that you are placed joint 59th on the list; there were 117 successful candidates for this exercise. To-date no-one has been posted from this exercise.

sometimes they do, but i didnt get credit checked, just crb checked, sorry if my earlier post said credit check i meant crb x

Ok, I had contacted NewCastle a few days ago to see what was happening with IRC 60370. I have heard so many things, from calling this morning, where I was told I was 34 on the list to this email I have just received.

"I have however checked the merit list for this exercise, and I can

successful candidates for this exercise. Whilst Employee Services
Resourcing administers selection activity on behalf of Jobcentre Plus,
any offer of employment will be made by the local business area.
Unfortunately I am therefore unable to give you a timescale regarding
when the business will be in a position to offer you a start date; you
will be contacted as soon as they are able to do so."

It is good to know that whereas there were 125 successful person, I am now joint 28th, and I was previously told that they had only needed 45 persons. I am kinda hopeful.

This is Unbelievable!!!! If they previously said that the freeze will end in October they should bloody make sure that it does!!! Can't believe how much we are being messed about :mad:
