DWP employment waiting list

Ok I have just checked
Success letter : 27th August
CRB check : 18th September
What I would like to know is why my success letter never mentioned any waiting lists while some letters do, I am 19th on the merit list and no posts have been made from my IRC according to the email I received, do the majority of success letters mention waiting lists or not as I am clearly on one as everybody seems to be.
I know people who work at our local call centre and they told me the 2nd November was an intake day but getting a bit close for that now?0 -

Any job offered is 99% likely to be in a Jobcentre not a Contact Centre."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Hi,
Why do you say that any job offered is 99% likely to be in a Jobcentre?
It could be a benefit delivery centre or contact centre.
When you applied it would have said what you were applying for, i.e Jobcentre or BDC, however, just to mention it did also stipulate on the initial application that AO level could be either of the above, whatever meets the business needs.0 -
Just had the phone call start the 6 week training on 2nd November, got the infamous successful letter on 16th July so thats a 3 month wait. My IRC was 60418 based in Coventry and have managed to get my 1st choice location not bad eh, feeling pretty smug at present. Thanks all for the advice, great infomative forum and good luck to all of you the call will come!!
Had the above phone call on 19th October, and since a letter, yesterday received an email stating I was 57th on the list and the business would contact me when a position was available.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have just called the contact number on my "success" letter. The phone was answered straight away and a woman (who sounded like she was chewing a toffee) told me in a bored tone that "Jobcentre + have a recruitment freeze on just now and they will be reviewing staffing requirements during November".
Its getting further away ....................0 -

!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its all as clear as mud, eh? I would go with the phone call and letter being correct. The email was probably automated and, as we have discovered, the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing!!!!!!!!;)0 -

If they said 'during October' then they should make sure that they are ready to recruit again in November. I know situations arise that cannot be helped, but that is really take the mick!0 -

It seems to me like they have absolutely no idea what is going on as reading from previous posts people were told the review would be during October. Looks like they're just saying anything to get people off of their backs.
In reply to your previous post about DWP advertisting again in Derby, I've emailed them back about this. Asking why they are advertising for staff when no-one is being posted, etc. Will let you know of a response...if I get one. The last one took 4 days "you can grow flowers from where dirt used to be..."0 -
So now your on a waiting list?! It's very worrying how you can suddenly be moved about back and forth like this..
I think that the recruitment freeze is probably why some were originally told they were not on waiting lists and now find out that they are so. If there's a recruitment freeze, what are they to do?0 -
