    Same here.

I had a choice of 2 in Derby, but I put I didn't mind which. How about you?

If there was a "freeze" we should have been informed of that in our success letters, actually we should have just been told we'd be waiting around for months and expect to think that is perfectly acceptable. They shouldn't send out these letters of "congratulations" when they actually mean diddlysquat!

Depending on how my interview with the JC adviser goes this afternoon I'm seriously thinking of looking elsewhere. I dread to think how many job opportunities I've missed whilst waiting around.

If I get any good info from the adviser I will let people on here know. :)
my choices are tamworth lichfield and burton, not bothered which. but have not heard a thing since my succes letter 3 sept. crg all fine etc.
im really ranked off with them now.

Mine was dated 26th August, had CRB check through a week later and since then, like you, nothing. It's the not knowing that is the frustrating part.

Anyway, my interview is in an hour so I better go and get myself sorted. Will try and get as much info as I can.

I've been waiting since July, for an IRC where a large volume of people have already been posted. I raised the issue of placing out of merit order (not just in a couple of instances) but it doesn't seem to matter. I agree it is the waiting and not knowing that is worst.

I'm in Derby, waiting on IRC61979 Admin Asisstant.

That is a total cop-out! It's absolutely ridiculous!

    When did you email?

I emailed on Friday and my preferred locations are exactly the same as Linkster's.

Hello everyone, I've been following this site for news for a while and seeing as my own experience is dragging on much like the rest I thought I'd sign up. In relation to a few posts above about recieving an email I too send onw and recieved a similar reply this afternoon:

    Steven

Unfortunately we still have not heard from JCP when the recruitment freeze will be ending. I am unable to give you anymore information at this time. Sorry.

That to summarise is it, I was told originally to expect a call from my local JCP using the old 'by the end of October' chestnut but that time is fast approaching. I guess it's time I look for alternative employment as I've completely lost faith with this

What IRC are you and how long have u been waiting?
  • Hi all, finally had an email back! I am completely disheartened by what I received back.

    Carly

You are 10th on the waiting list. Unfortunately I am unable to give you a timescale when an offer will be made. The business will contact you once they are able to make an offer. I can say that no one has been posted from that merit list as yet

I think it's absolutely disgusting that my "success" letter doesn't explain anything about being on a merit list etc. The personal adviser at the JC today was even at a loss as to what to do, who to get in contact with etc. It's an absolute farce. I'm so angry.

NB: this is in regards to IRC61979 Derby

It would seem so!! I'm going to email them back and ask why I was never told about a waiting list, why do they word the letter to make it sound like you'll be starting work very soon etc but I'm waiting until I've calmed down abit,
