Hi all,
Just joined today but have been browsing since I got a call to attend an interview for EO on Monday next week. Its for the N/L tests and then if I pass straight to the interview. Job ref is IRC61153, interview at City Ground, Manchester. Any help appreciated. I think I know what to expect on the N/L as they enclose examples with the confirming email but would like to make sure that I have the compentancies sorted - not got loads of time
Thanks
Sheila
Like Natomar I also had an interview for this position. My interview was on 3rd Sept. Seems a bit late for them to still be interviewing for this IRC.0 -

Finally got it to go through..must have been a network problem0 -
Another week without "the call". And I didn't get the date for my second interview with the other company, either, so I'll be spending the weekend doing prep for a HEO interview in London instead.
In other news, I have sent off an email complaint re: 60369 and how my application was handled, as well as seeking an update on 60370.
I'm still amazed by how incompetent this department is at recruitment. And no, the fact so much of it is outsourced isn't an excuse. It's 1/2 of the problem, because DWP is clearly not doing enough to ensure the outsource companies are providing good value for tax payer money.0 -

I emailed the Resourcing Dept., last Friday and have had no response so far. Nobody else seems to have my IRC and I am beginning to wonder if it even exists lol! :rolleyes:0 -

You are living my life :j, I am still waiting for a placement for an EO position at Brighton, and I have been placed on a waiting list for an HEO interview having done the online test last week.
I am happy that you are enjoying your role. Good luck with the HEO interview.
Thanks! Are you waiting for an interview for the same London HEO role 63183 as me? I've done a bit of shadowing of EO's in brighton and most of them seem to have very interesting jobs - I hope you hear soon!
Fivefootsix - yep, I applied for the HEO out of desperation to find a job back when I was still waiting for "The call" :rotfl:
I had to ask my line manager today about having the afternoon off next friday to attend it... I felt a bit guilty since I only started as a Band B a couple of days ago and it's a small specialised team. I was so scared he'd be annoyed or say I wasn't suitable for that kind of role based on my experience but he was lovely about it!0 -
PANNO - WELL DONE! Thats great you got "the call". Really happy for you :j0

Timescale so far...
Application closing date - mid September
Phonecall inviting for assessment- last week in Sept
Assessment days 5th & 6th Oct:
Tests on the 5th - test results given within 30mins, those who passed asked back for interview the next day. Advice sheet given on competencies to be covered in interview
Interview day, 6th - All ID checked & photocopied, CRB forms filled, health forms filled etc, then into the interview- which was really easy TBH

BTW- anyone know what AO wages are? applied for so many jobs I've forgot!
Also- what are the chances of transfer to another office (The one I applied for is nearly an hour away), and what are the core working hours? Thanks in advance if anyone can help!We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung
