    Congratulations hun! :D

I'm also a bit daunted by the fact that I've just started my AO role and I've been invited to attend a HEO interview... I don't have a hope in hell, but I shall do it for the experience!

Wow! Good luck, you never know. Did you apply for it whilst you were waiting to hear about AO job?

    Slitty,
You are living my life :j, I am still waiting for a placement for an EO position at Brighton, and I have been placed on a waiting list for an HEO interview having done the online test last week.

I am happy that you are enjoying your role. Good luck with the HEO interview.
  • To eveyone that has received their 'CALL' congratulations and I hope that you enjoy your new career.

To the rest of us poor mortals..fingers crossed that it wont take too long.

I still haven't received any reply from my email to resourcing...turning blue from holding my breath
  • Grrrr, so after emailing them the other day and recieving a reply saying I was 5th on the merit list and my checks had been completed, I today have recieved another email from DWP...

Thank you for your e mail dated 15 October regarding the above recruitment exercise.
I feel that I must advise that Employee Services Resourcing administer selection activity of behalf of Jobcentre Plus. However, the decision as to how soon the vacancy holder can make an offer of employment to a successful candidate remains the responsibility of the individual business area.
I have liaised with the relevant recruitment team and can confirm that you are currently 10th on the merit list for the above recruitment exercise. At present the vacancy holder has requested that we commence baseline security checks on the top 42 in preparation for posting.
However, Jobcentre Plus are currently reviewing their staffing position and hope to have a firmer idea of when they will be able to make you a formal offer of employment by the end of October. We will of course be in touch with you as soon as we have more information from Jobcentre Plus.
I am sorry that we cannot provide you with more information at this point but please feel free to contact me on the number below if you wish to discuss further.

So according to this reply I have gone from 5th on the merit list with checks complete to 10th with basline checks underway?! They really are useless! At least it does sound as if there is some progress though and if they are doing checks on the top 42 then I should hopefully get the call whether I'm 5th or 10th! It really doesn't reflect too well on them though does it.
  • Hi all,

Just joined today but have been browsing since I got a call to attend an interview for EO on Monday next week. Its for the N/L tests and then if I pass straight to the interview. Job ref is IRC61153, interview at City Ground, Manchester. Any help appreciated. I think I know what to expect on the N/L as they enclose examples with the confirming email but would like to make sure that I have the compentancies sorted - not got loads of time :)

    Thanks

    Sheila

    Hi Shelia
Are you sure this is the right IRC number, as I went for my interview on the 04/09/09 and I was informed the closing date for this IRC was the 17/08/09??
