Blimey, you'll never guess what happened to me after waiting since the beginning of May.........
I GOT THE CALL!!!! :j:T :xmassmile _party_
Yes, the grandpa of the waiting forum finally got the call so that means there's hope for everyone!
Congratulations!!:T I love it when I read that someone has had the call, hopefully the rest of us will get one soon. When do you start?0 -
Thanks very much to you all. Patience really has been a virtue. If any of you have read any of my past posts I still say DON'T WAIT FOR THE DWP! Carry on looking elsewhere for jobs & in the meantime carry on calling & emailing the DWP to get some info on what's happening to your post. It can be very disheartening getting passed from pillar to post & not getting any useful info from anyone. But it beats waiting everyday for your phone to ring.
Best of luck to all who are still waiting. KEEP STRONG (& patient).0 -

Cheers Fivefootsix. I start November 2nd in London. It seems that the freeze has been lifted for JCP posts so hopefully the forum will be full of 'I got the call' posts in the near future.0 -
After much deliberation, I have decided to take the job that I have been offered with Social Services. Its a "maternity leave" post, so only till xmas but, even so, the additional experience and MONEY will be very welcome. If I do get "the call" eventually, I will re-assess my position at that time. Also, you never know what is going to come from a temporary position - there could be internal vacancies etc.0

London Jobcentres were never part of the freeze.

I still cannot find out what is going on with London. Several people seem to have got the call for AO posts in London--but what about the EO posts? I have been waiting since June.
Am really fed up and depressed--there is only so much telly you can watch!0
