hi im also waiting on west mids irc 61492 all cleared and passed mid sept nothing at all since. i think it is really terrible how they are treating us. but they expect us to treat people with respect when they come and sit in front of us. a joke.
understand exactly how your feeling.
Same IRC as me! Do you know your place on the "merit list"? (As people seem to be referring to it on here.) I think it's amusing that waiting for the DWP is such an ordeal that we are creating DWP-specific terms here such as the "merit list" and "THE call".0 -

Just found that the DWP are advertising for Admin Officers for Derby. I applied for the Admin Assistant role(s) for Derby and got my success letter on 26th August. Do you think this could mean I might get the call soon?
I feel like complaining about how we've been treated. Althought I'm not sure what good it would do!! If it was just stated in our success letters that we could be in for a long wait then it would solve a whole lot of confusion.
Anyone waiting on Derby/East Midlands roles? I've seen lots of people on here for other areas apart from mine."you can grow flowers from where dirt used to be..."0 -
no me neither, wher are u hoping to work? have u called the newcastle under lyme number they seem to have a little more info, and i think it is where we will be contacted from to offer us the location. hopefully
I have contacted the HQ at Newcastle-upon-Tyne lots of times, but never the Newcastle UL, don't even know the number for it tbh. I selected Burton, Tamworth and Lichfield as my preferences but when they phoned me to ask if I was still interested I said I was willing to work in any of the areas (which I now am, out of pure desperation). Hi, that's exactly like I feel, like they've lost me somehow haha. I've not heard a thing since I got my CRB back, both my refs and my place of work have been contacted and replied and I know when I rang up about the CRB the guy said my checks were complete and I'd been passed to the business centre. That was about 8 weeks ago. The guy also said there were 300 people on the list.
I didn't fill any form in and wasn't asked about location preference, I don't think anyone has for this IRC.
I think a few people who have been in contact have been told it's being reviewed and we will know more at the end of Oct. Which can't be far off.
What worries me is if it's an area that's being reviewed and there are 300 people on this merit list I just can't see them deciding they still need 300 people.0
