Hey......sorry if I was a scaremonger it's just the people from my recruitment/training have had letters that say your contract will end 30th December 2010. I haven't had an official date so I have no idea when mine will end - closing date for applications was June - interviewed July and start date 19th Oct.

I will only post info when I have something concrete as I would hate to give out information that was only a rumour.

    Am I forgiven???

LOL theres nothing to forgive hun. I wasnt saying you were wrong, i was saying i couldnt remember who had said it but that i hope it wasnt the case for anyone. xxx

So what's the big announcement sammy jammy?
  • Thanks for the info. I might just do that. I sent an email to them yesterday and I'm still waiting on a reply from that. If I've not heard anything by tomorrow then I'm going to get complaining :rotfl: Who did you complain to?

I sent an email of complaint to Louise Perry after getting nowhere on the phone. Someone called me back on her behalf the next day and he was useless, but then i got another call 2 days later from a nice woman saying she would look into it. As it happened that was on the Friday and i got "the call" the following thursday.

    Hope u hear soon xxxxx
  • I am so confused about these waiting lists and merit lists!!!

I had a letter to say I had been successful but was on a 6 month waiting list (again sometimes it is 12 months) I was called by the recruitment centre to ask me my preferred JCP's, they advised that the waiting list was there as they didn't know how many staff they actually needed and were still reviewing it. she would not disclose my position on the list.

I decided to email the address that some kind person put on here and have been told that I am joint 3rd on the list, and although I asked about a merit list there was again no mention of this....So I am really confused.....

Is anyone else in this position....Jx

There is definately 2 seperate lists. I clarified this a few weeks ago as it confused me too. Apparently your interview score determines what list u will be on. IE, if u did really well they will put u on the merit list (in merit order of who scored the best i guess)...the waiting list is if you passed the interview at the required level but not at as good a standard as others...and i guess they use u as back ups (hence why waiting list letters say they will try to post you but can not guarantee it). If youve been told your third on the list thats great news. I was 32nd on the list when i got the call xx

Thanks mandie, I have emailed them again to ask if there is a merit list how many are on it....they got back to me first thing this morning so hopefully I will get another quick response if I am lucky...I am pleased that I am 3rd, so close to the merit list but just not quite....lol...Jx

hi all, haven't been on for a few days as I'm trying to wait patiently lol. Congratulations to all those who have had "the call" recently :)

I received a letter today from the DWP asking me about my Self Employment. I also heard from one of my references that they have contacted by post also today. I am just hoping that the postal strikes will not delay the post too much sending the reply. I have posted back the form today. Has anyone else received this form about self employment? If so, do you know if they need any other information.
