Got a letter this morning saying I'd been successful, but it says pre-recruitment checks to confirm whether they are able to offer me a post...what does this mean?

Also anyone know the starting salary for EO? I remember on the job description it said 23-27K can anyone confirm and what is this salary dependent on?

I had emailed resourcing to find out how many vacancies they had declared at the start of the exercise, this is the response I have received.


Thank-you for your email. They were originally looking for 45 staff however this number is always a 'estimate' and is dependant on changing business needs and requirements.

I am 33 on merit list so hopefully I will be called soon.

Thanks to mbcooper who posted this I emailed the resources centre yesterday, havent heard anything as yet but fingers crossed. With regards to pt work - no idea, I spose you'll have to speak to them.

I emailed yesterday afternoon, hopefully they'll get back to me at some point today. So frustrating!

Hmm that all sounds a bit worrying to me. The job I am waiting for the call on was for one of their contact centres in Lowestoft. If they are moving staff from other areas of the business into contact centres then they may not need to add more staff to the Lowestoft one anymore. Another thing to worry about!

The salary depends what area your IRC is for? does your letter state waiting list? even if it doesn't though your still going be waiting like the rest of us!! Congrats anyway
