You pasted my post setting out my timescale, a second ago?
My interview on 16th Feb to starting work on 11th May, isnt very fast, in my opinion.0 -
I did not realise the waiting time was so long, when you posted the reply. Sorry for the confusion.0

*confused* !
I really dont understand what you are saying lol0 -
Well I have decided not to bother phoning up to see if the letters have been sent as I really don't think I have got the job ... again. The last time I applied, I got the rejection letter bang on 2 weeks after my interview but haven't heard anything yet and it will be 3 weeks on Thursday! Would have really liked to get back to being a civil servant (I loved my job previously) but think I will just have to keep applying although the EO posts in my area are few and far between.LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:
Current debt levels: OD £3860, Loan 1 £6091, Loan 2 £5052, Parents £260, Total £16133  As at 01 May 2012 - 51.69% paid off :j
Aiming for a No Spend Christmas 2012!0 -
I think I will join in now. I had the tests and two Interviews at the beginning of April for a AO and EO post and much to my surprise got them both. I am in a waiting list for the EO post (number 89 out of how many?) and the AO post is "immediate" with no waiting list. They have got my CRB but as yet my referees have not been contacted. Getting a little fed up now but I understand that they are very busy so its just aquestion of being patientThe World come on.....0

the teams that do the checks are VERY overworked. I know it doesnt really help at a personal level but they'll most likely have just put you in a pile saying "i'll phone them later" and maybe didn't get around to it.
I owe four months rent which I have no hope in hell clearing if this carries on for much longer. Needless to say both myself and my landlord are eager for me to start as soon as possible. Will DWP offer me a job if I'm homeless, as that's what I'm hovering close to now.0 -
It will be training for a good few weeks. I cannot remember how long classroom based and then on the job training. I vaguely remember something being mentioned at the interview
The next date I am offered will be the next time they get together a group for training. Disclosure Scotland are working on my application as of 29th. I have disclosures so I am hoping it might speed things up for me.
Hope this means the recruitment process is speeding up for everyone. It certainly seems like they need the staff.
Congratulations! :T
Training used to be 13 weeks for an AO and 19 weeks for an EO, but it could be a bit shorter now. Maybe someone still working there could tell you the current information.Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -
the new online system is new remember. theres only a handful of people who have had training on it and they seem as annoyed as you!
as for the certificate unfortuantly it's the way they are set up and the recruitment officer has to change it to EO level. but there shouldnt really be any more certs going out as it is all going online!
I understand that Sigrid, but I have to echo Agnetha's sentiments. Just got in and there's still nothing in the mail, despite being promised a fortnight ago that I'd have written confirmation 'within a few days'. So, I am left in limbo, not really knowing whether to believe I've got a post or not. It IS ridiculous, and very, very stressful. I will ring up tomorrow, as early as possible, and if I don't hear something very concrete, I will begin the complaints process. I don't WANT to. I would rather put my efforts into starting work, but what choice do I have? This, with the other catalogue of errors, is just too much.:idea:0 -

I am sure I will find out once I start. There will be a fair bit of supervision after training. That is one part of the interview I remember.
Ta for the congratulations0 -
