I haven't been waiting as long as you!! I got my sucess letter on 4th September and disclosure 2 weeks later. That's when the 'freeze' happened. Hopefully you'll hear something v.soon. It's not fair that you should have to wait so long.
  • Here's hoping. There were a few others on here from Fife (same area as me!) who were in the same situation as me, but most of them have heard something by now. I'm getting a bit worried!!!!

Not as worrying as it is for someone who applied for Fife IRC 61732 only to never hear anything back. No unsuccessful letter , no invite to tests ...nothing at all. Strange when one considers Ive already passed the tests for EO and AO previously. So much for being fair at each stage of the application process.
  • Did you apply for EO or AO position?? I never got a success letter for AO position - only a Disclosure scotland with a comp slip. If you look through the Forum, there's numbers for the Newcastle office who sent out all the letters - maybe worth phoning them and explaining???

phoned up newcastle today ref 61492 and they will not move on this until end of october. i was told it was part of the freeze and they are all at all west mids areas to see exactly how many they need. thought this would have been done before they started, but thats only me planning for the future. no idea how many are on the waiting lists. 1000's maybe. any news from anyone else ref this irc number?
  • Hi All

I emailed the CRB people in Scotland and they have not got my details on their system. I have just called the recruitment centre in Nottingham and they have advised that they will contact HR and that they may have to send me another to fill in.

Has anyone else had a similar problem at all?? This is going to delay everything even more isn't it? I filled that form in over 4 weeks ago at my interview, how frustrating it all is.....I could scream....

Ok got that off my chest now....thank you...lol

i'm really confused and annoyed now tbh - I was previously told in an email that I was no. 69 on the merit list and now when I phoned up i'm 74!! Am i ever going to get 'the call', feeling depressed now :(
I know in my area (Sussex and Surrey) they had big problems with the initial phases of recruitment and were still interviewing people in September (original interviews were in July) fixing the stuff ups. You may find that when you were told you were 69 they still had a bunch of interviews to do, which have since been done and you've been bumped down the list as a result.
