Congrats to all those with start dates!!!!
Training today was really quite enjoyable. When i walked into the room this morning i was greeted by a pile of toys in the middle of the room and pictures all over the walls! We had a man in who was a key skills trainer and he is with us for the next two days. We spent the day looking at discrimination and prejudice. We had to do some fun exercises and watch videos and discuss the correct terms to use in regards to people with specific needs. Such as you wouldn't call someone blind, you would say there are a VIP (visually impaired person) instead etc. The toys were for picking out groups (i was in the mouse group as i picked out a bendy toy mouse). We also had to throw around a toy baseball around the group and whoever caught it had to answer whatever we were discussing. Normally i'm quite shy but i came out of my shell today, so was good. Wish work was like the training up to now!! Haha.
Hope more people start getting their dates. Would be nice to see everyone happy x"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -

i had my interview in Leeds on 26th August, my letter advising i got the job was dated 4th Sept and im still waiting for a call from them. Tried calling the Newcastle number on the letter but it's a waste of time, nobody ever answers!
I have a couple of friends who have got the EO job same as me, they interviewed before me though and they start on the 4th and 19th October, hope i get to hear something soon!
I went for the interview in Leeds then as well, with the same success letter date. Not heard anything at all other than the letter informing me of the recruitment freeze.0 -

Did you ask for part-time hours?
Hi again
No, job ad was for 20 hours 4-8pm shift. They have an accommodation problem so are hot seating it there! Stated it was a contract for up to 18 months so will let you know what my contact is, paper work to come in a couple of days. Hope you hear soon., think the waiting about is the worst.0 -
