mb667584 I think you're right most of the people being posted have been waiting for months - some from Feb, some from Apr and some from Jun. Those who applied in August, looks like they won't be getting "the call" until next year.

I don't know any of that for certain, but thats my theory on the whole situation at the moment. I hope everyone hears soon.

Out of interest is there anyone else out there who applied pre August and are still waiting????? I think it would make others out there feel better if they're not alone in the waiting.

Hold on you guys, I'm sure your call will come soon and I know me saying that won't make any difference to how you feel - I felt like I was the last one to get the call from my IRC.

I'm still waiting and I applied in June. Apparently I was high on merit list, but lots of people much further down the list seem to have been placed a while ago. Hope it makes someone else feel better if not me.

The idea of November being last training dates panics me as no one has got in touch with me and the idea I could be waiting till next year fills me with fear!

Have you phoned them up and asked why people lower on the list were placed before you?

Yeah, or in high demand for staff so need more people than were already waiting from before they put new people on a waiting list in August.

Been run off my feet for the last few days - its the school hols up here north of the border. I dont want to see another funfair/museum/cinema for a VERY LONG TIME lol! Anyway, MANY CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who have had "the call" and received start dates :j

Hi im new to this forum, but have been following for weeks..... This really is frustrating...

Applied : July
Assessment : July
Interview : August
Disclosure Scotland : September
Success Letter with 6month waiting list : Late September
References Contacted : 3 Weeks ago
Phone call saying my checks were complete : Last Week

Today i rang up and asked about this freeze, and was told that yes the freeze is still in place, and then was asked for my IRC, which i told them, and low and behold that IRC can not be found anywhere in the system!!!!!!!!?????? I give up!!!!

i had my interview in Leeds on 26th August, my letter advising i got the job was dated 4th Sept and im still waiting for a call from them. Tried calling the Newcastle number on the letter but it's a waste of time, nobody ever answers!

I have a couple of friends who have got the EO job same as me, they interviewed before me though and they start on the 4th and 19th October, hope i get to hear something soon!

I applied in June, online SIFT test in July, Interview and success letter August, Disclosure Scotland September and...........nothing! Hang on in there! People who were at the point of throwing in the towel have recently had "the call" so dont lose heart. I am also in the north-east, albeit north of the border! But I know how you feel (as does everyone on this site). Chin up!
