Yeah like in the song....things can only get better!

To top it off, my manager is now ignoring my calls. I dont think there is enough work to accomodate me but instead of having a back bone and explaining HR will have to sort it he is just ignoring me.

Sorry to go on. Im in full moan mode!!

That's horrible. When I worked for Aviva it got to the point when they didn't have enough work for me to do. They were really busy and so didn't have time to train me on new things. I absolutely hated going to work in the morning wondering what the hell I was gonna do for seven hours. To top it all they got in a new temporary worker so I had even less work!! It was ridiculous.

The joke is Im a recruitment consultant - permanent manufacturing - while I was off my team went from 5 to 1 so now I am due to go back they are thinking arghhh! We cant afford to have her back!! Well fine, just let me know what you plan to do. How dare you just ignore me (I know he is cuz my friend works next to him and told me he is at his desk).

And the job I worked hard to get - presentation and lots of research - didnt have the decency to call me. I waited over a week and just got a poxy letter. What has happened to the world?

    Feel so down today. :-(

Everyone has their bad days. Can't blame you for feeling down when your employer is treating you like this. So will you not know what is going on until you actually get back to work on Monday? It's crap that they are not keeping you informed.
  • hey people... did anyone or know of anyone that applied for IRC62979?, its the one for central London, im still waiting on the call if i got an interview or not lol and im soo impatient i just wanna know so i can stop worrying about it.. the interview dates are scheduled for next tuesday and the one after so i really dont think i got it, do they still call you to let you know your not successful??
    thanks for any help!
  • hey everyone, I received the call yesterday, well, not really..well maybe I'm not sure.
I have been waiting for IRC 61298, this is for across London. I got a call yesterday afternoon, the lady was from the District office for North and North East London, I was asked if I was still looking for employment ( I lol'd). I was offered two locations, I said I was interested in Locations in my district (Central London and City). The lady said she would call the City district and get back to me today.

Was this the right thing to do, should I have taken the offered location..I'm not sure. Anyway, if she rings me today I guess I will take the previous location offered to me if nothing is available in the City.

On a side note I really don't know why my file was passed onto the North and North East London district office and not my local one (at the interview we weren't offered a list of locations)

Did you receive a successful letter tor waiting list letter. When did you receive the letter. I am on 61298 also, please read above. Where are you located???

Ok, I just received a call from the same lady again. This time she asked me if I'm looking for for full time work 5 days a week (I lol'd again). Then I got asked what offices within the Central or City Districts i am looking for, I said any within these districts. I really hope my days of waiting are coming to an end.

    good luck to all.

There's still time for you to get a call. There have been cases where they have only given a couple of days notice. They don't always get back to you as there have been 2 or 3 where I have applied and didn't receive anything back.

Well as i said yesterday someone phoned me on behalf of Louise Perry and she said she had contacted the business for a timescale on how much longer i will have to wait as i have been high up the merit list for such a long time with no movement (interview was in May lol). She said it would probably be Monday before i heard back. Anyway as my luck has it, i thought id nip out for shopping etc today as there would be no chance she'd phone today right? WRONG! Had an answer message when i got in saying the business had contacted her and she would like me to call her back asap. She mentioned she finished at 4 so it would be better if i could call before then, else i wouldnt get her til Tuesday. Bad thing is i didnt even get her message til half 4 when i got in. GRRR. So now i have to wait til Tuesday to see what shes found out lol

Mandie...its Tuesday, have you found out what this call was about???

    Hope its good news!
