If you like, but you've criticised DWP staff for not doing their jobs, and given endictment after endictment on some areas of DWP; don't you see the relevance? Something about a pot and a kettle?
I've seen you give lots of people advice that they wanted to hear, but that doesn't make it good advice. I think it's relevant to the thread if people want to be able to judge the quality of the advice they are being given. I think your opinions on DWP may be a good few years out of date now.

    Here here :D

I dont know  . You see, i applied for the AO position but after my interview got THE CALL to say we have given you the EO position, i didnt have any info on that job on my interview day and that was the last day advertising the EO job, therfore, i couldnt look up the ref.
I have asked for the ref. number but still cant get hold of it. I have seen the manager who interviewed me and she said dont worry about it, as she was just waiting on a start date for me and said it shouldnt be too long now, well, this was before THE BIG FREEZE, still waiting....
How about you? what did you apply for and where?

I applied for IRC61569, AO position in East Anglia. I got my sucessful letter a month ago, told my CRB checks were cleared a week after and have heard nothing since. As far as I know no one has been posted yet from this IRC so am hoping things will get moving soon.

Ok, good luck, seems we are all in the same boat then, all checks done and just waiting for a start.

Funny ole morning isnt it... Has everyone got the Monday blues??? a bit shouty for my liking :rotfl:
  • IRC61298:- I received letter stating that I am successful in the assesment and that they will conduct pre-employment checks. My CRB check (Disclosure Scotland) is done. It is clear & spotless. My personal refrees informed me that last week they received reference check form which they sent back dully filled to the DWP.
I was told last week that I am in waiting list. My waiting list number is 150.
Does anyone know what will happen next...anyone who knows when can i expect myself to start..!!!?

I'm afraid you may have to wait a while. Those on the merit list get placed first and that in itself can take months. What area is IRC61298 for?
  • Hi everyone, just wanted to say good luck to all of you that have received start dates. This forum has made me feel better about waiting..... the ref i applied for is IRC 61505. Passed the literacy/ maths test, received my crb check, and got letter dated 1st September saying I had passed interview. It has now gone past the 20 days recruitment check and I have heard nothing. Neither of my references have been contacted and when I try to telephone it is either engaged or just rings out. I think the whole process is sooooo frustrating! Perhaps they could employ people to answer the phone on the letters that they send out! In the same boat as everyone else I guess, although there was no mention of any waiting lists when i applied in July. I hate that we all seem left in limbo. :o)

I'm in the same position also. I also got my success letter in September. What fustrates me is that I have learnt more about the application process and what happens after on this forum rather than DWP itself. For e.g. there was no mention at the interview or in the letter about any merit/waiting list. I just hope we all start to hear something soon.
