    Hellooooooooooooooooooooo!!

Just a quick update to say i got 'the call' about half an hour ago!! Can't believe it...its really pathetic but i am actually shaking!! I actually thought i would never get it...i was resigning myself for another 6 months of unemployment!!

I start training on Monday and will be situated in my local office Upton!!! Hurrah!!! :)

So someone stating before (Fremsley) 'no where is exempt from the freeze' is speaking nonsense....

Just to clear up further confusion about the recruitment fiasco, I have just spoken to a number of people at employee services and contrary to some earlier rumours in this thread, there are no regions exempt from the freeze.

This can't be true, as Venus has just received a call with a start date:rolleyes:

Thank you :o I feel a bit guilty as i know there are so many people waiting. I just wanted to let you all know partly so people know that the freeze does not affect all areas...proved by me, proud resident of the North West!!

2 months wait is probably not that bad compared to most, so i really have nothing to grumble about now. As you know the waiting and not knowing is torture, especially when 99% of jobs hire you withing a few weeks of telling you you're successful. I will make sure to update if i find out anything though. You can't get rid of me that easily!! Gotta support my fellow dwp waiting listers!!

Yes, we want inside information if you don't mind:rotfl:

Good luck with your training, Venus, and hope it all works out well for you :T

    Bet you are made up:beer:
  • Ah congrats, venus_in_furs. I'm from London and a few posts above Fremsley said the freeze applies to all regions. Well if your call is anything to go by there is still hope. I've been waiting since late August..

Had an email from DWP today saying that they had re-submitted request for reference from one of my personal referees, as she did not receive the one they allegedly sent out early this month !

She has definitely received it this time, as I have checked :rotfl:

wow, well done my darling! i'm in the north west too!
    i applied to hyde?
  • Well, i am going to be in the Upton office...that is in the Wirral. I am excited but so nervous. I suffer a bit of social anxiety until i get into my stride!! I am crapping myself now...not going to eat for the next week!!

Here's my time scale thingymabob, incase anyone wants to know:

    Applied in May...

Call about interview day: 17th July

    Interview: 31st July

    Success letter...11 August

CRB....beginning of Sept (although the actual CRB was dated from just after my success letter...so if you haven't received it yet, don't worry- it may already have been checked and processed - they have just been a bit late sending it you back)

    'The call'...today!!!! Huzzah!!!
