Congratulations Venus!
You'll claim the expenses and the travel refunds electronically, once its been agreed by your Line Manager (or the person running the training) it'll only take a few days to get into your bank account.
Best of luck.

It's nice to see the posts over the last 24 hours have been positive, lets hope this is a sign of things to come.0

Very surprised by these developments after seeing it posted that the freeze was nationwide. Well done to those who got jobs.0

Well done Venus on getting 'the call'. Goes to show that we shouldn't believe all we hear or read and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I too received a call today saying they wanted me for that pilot part-time role (see a previous post of mine). But before I could say "thanks for the offer but...." the lady said that she's aware that I'd rather wait for the full-time position and that the wait might be quicker than first thought. Meetings are happening now to ascertain what levels they need and calls will be made sooner rather than later.
I'm hoping that this is the case across the country and we'll all be getting 'the call' too.0 -
Right now I'd probably take the part time role and look for something else to do with my mornings. Anything to get back into work!0

twss....you could always take on the parttime role until you hear from the dwp? Shouldnt be too long by what richy said, maybe a few more weeks?"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0

Sorry, I meant that if I got called for the pilot late afternoon jobs at the DWP I'd probably accept it. It depends, let's see how many more people get taken on full time in the upcoming weeks and whether or not any are in my area.0
