well what a surpise to rcv an email just now @ 4.20pm from Louise, and no surprise but she has only replied with the information that she had already told me over the phone, anyway have a read

    Dear

Apologies for the delay in replying.

I can appreciate how disappointed you will be with your selection experience though I am unable to comment on your reference to documents going missing as you have not provided any specifics. In addition I am unsure why you state that you have been given a start date that has never materialised as our records show that no offer of a start date has been made to you.

With regards to your positioning on the waiting list this will change as postings are made and candidates take up duty.

The letter you received advising you that you had been successful in our selection assessments was not an offer of employment and I am sorry that you took the decision to resign from your current employment on the strength of that letter. I do appreciate the difficult situation you now find yourself in, but at no point have we given you the guarantee of a post. It was anticipated that following the successful completion of pre-appointment checks Jobcentre Plus would be able to offer postings to candidates. However, as advised in our telephone conversation they are currently undertaking a piece of work to review their staffing situation. I reiterate that they expect this review to be complete no later than the end of October. Hopefully Resourcing will be in a position to give you more information at that point and I am happy for you to contact me and I will do everything I can to provide you with an update to your status in this exercise.

I do understand your own and other candidates frustrations, but regret I am unable to add anything further until Jobcentre Plus have had the opportunity to review their staffing and selection requirements.

If I can help further please do not hesitate to contact me at the number below.

    Kind regards

    Louise Perry

Back to the drawing board then for every1, as from now i officially GIVE UP
  • oh and just for the record, the statement that says about files going missing was a reference i made to this effect "
We have been promised many things that have never been delivered, there have been documents go missing, multiple checks

promised proposed start dates that never materialised, and now we have been told that the success letter does not guarantee a job."

The reference that mentions me saying i was offered a start date is complete rubbish, what i actually said was" All my checks were back long before a lot of others and was told that 1 was 92 on the list but there were 300 jobs so I would

    definitely get a job.

Then I was told I was 81 on the list, but again would def get a job,"

I just wanted to clarify what i had put in my email so ppl dont get confused on certain aspects of the reply

How unbelievable! The DWP have said, (i think,) to all of us, 'congratulations, you have been successful in your interview etc and you will start when we have received the checks' (mentioned to me,) end of August. So i suppose like you say 'it is back to the drawing board ', how very demorilising. Tried NHS for every job going, latest was sexual diseases, clamydia screening or mental health in Broadmore! LOL:rotfl:So congrats to MAISETTE getting an interview.
Been a funny week hasnt it??? Wot with strange people commenting on our misery etc. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
  • I have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now since receiving my "success" letter and it all seems such a waste of everyone's time. In my opinion if you have been successful you have a job! It just sucks! This is from a department who are supposed to get people back to work , there is something badly wrong here. I shall be keeping in touch to see what happens, good luck to you all.
