DWP employment waiting list

Unless you're in London or the other couple of areas that are still recruiting (I can't remember which ones off the top of my head, but I'm sure they're Northern) you might as well give up on this, in my opinion. Certainly if, like me, you were hoping the DWP would get you off benefits and back into work then you really need to give it up and get back to aggressive job hunting. Success with the DWP clearly doesn't mean success in any sensible context.
twss,
how do you know which areas are still recruiting?0 -
I read it on here. They're still even advertising jobs in London
I think there are a couple of areas unaffected by the freeze but I haven't really taken a lot of interest in the situation in areas other than my own. Someone here will know.

the other two areas are West Mids and North West as well as London, this only applies to recruitment for Jobcentres not Benefit Delivery Centres.0 -

Hi everyone
I am waiting for 60227 which is London so was feeling fairly optimistic that when Newcastle finally find all my aperwork they have lost I might get 'the call'. However, have now spoken to Newcastle who say nothing is happening until the end of October even for London. Why are we all getting told different things? It is so upsetting.
Is anyone else still waiting for 60227? Since the application date was May 2009 I just feel I have been completly lost in the system.
Hiya .....
Try and get a definitive answer from them on that IRC , i know someone that started three weeks ago as an EO (60227)0 -
Congrats maisette, hope you knock them dead at the interview, you can do it babe. Good luck and all that hehe!

Ive always been looking for somethin else as well anyway but now i have to up my game a bit, and if i ever do get "the call" FINE...but im not putting my life on hold waiting for it lol. To get a success letter on the 10th of June and be sitting here with no job on the 27th September...can anyone say JOKE!!0 -
