DWP employment waiting list

  • I emailed to today and basically asked whether or not I should be seriously looking for jobs elsewhere and the answer I got back was yes. I was never supposed to be on this waiting list either as I'd had all my checks etc done and was supposed to be starting. Can't beleive it as for the last few weeks I've pretty much not bothered to look as I thought I was about to start!

Yet another week and no start dates for us... Trying to stay positive but Thylacine had a knockback tonight from a job I really thought he was destined for(long story). It's upset me quite a bit, I'm starting to feel really depressed about everything.

    Trying to hang on :(

hang on in there hunny, i know its hard but 1 way or another we will get somewhere x

What's really stupid about this is that it was my job originally. When I was made redundant it was because the job I was in was being moved to the US. For various reasons I decided I didn't want to go with it. Few months later it gets advertised and with things having moved on I applied.

    Few other leads floating around.

Try not to get too down about it all. I know its horrendous the waiting, and even more the not knowing and the lack of communication from DWP. I was starting to feel more positive and a lot more happy when I had the successful letter, but this last week now has nearly sent me over the edge:confused:

    Keep you chin up ;)

Hi. What is the email address you send your enquiry to, please.

I just cannot get a response from the telephone number, and am now worried that they are saying I have to chase my references. I need to contact them as one of my referees hasnt even received anything from them:confused:
  • Hi everyone

I am waiting for 60227 which is London so was feeling fairly optimistic that when Newcastle finally find all my aperwork they have lost I might get 'the call'. However, have now spoken to Newcastle who say nothing is happening until the end of October even for London. Why are we all getting told different things? It is so upsetting.

Is anyone else still waiting for 60227? Since the application date was May 2009 I just feel I have been completly lost in the system.
