Think I'll email the BBC mob as well. They'll get a good giggle out of my tale of DWP woe I'm sure
.
On the flipside, I've got 2 applications in for jos I can definitely do within the industry I left unexpectedly, and an interview for a third position on Monday. Hoping the other two come in, but the third (although undoubtedly low paid) would still be good for my career long term.0 -

Hello there,
would anybody be kind enough to give a brief summary as to the details of the "Recruitment Freeze"? Are any regions actually exempt? I applied for a number of positions in the West Midlands, success letters were received in June, July & August each informing me of the start of pre-recruitment checks.
Update
Employee services state that there are no areas currently unaffected by the freeze.0 -
I to have been successful for a position in Derby. I have been very disappointed with the lack of communication but I can give you an upto answer on this as I have finally managed to get through to the recruitment team! Basically if it's true, they have put recruitment on hold nationally until end of october so I have been told I should receive a call at that time but they couldn't quarantee any of this. So good luck and try to keep positive - let me know if you have a phonecall!0
