I've got my signon tomorrow so I'll see if I can get a number for Business Services and therefore some more information, which I'll post on here. I may not get a job now but I'm not letting it drop. I have far too much time on my hands for that :D
  • Me neither! Not since I put all my job searching on hold since I got the successful letter beg. of September!
  • I thought it was bad for me..waiitng 7 months from deadline to start date...

    but this is bad...

i know people are my JCP that have applied 3 months after me...iv even passed the interview and test before they even applied..and theirs about 3/4 staff that have been placed before me...which i am still angry about...

its like they pick and choose...i know i smacked the interview...i even knew in the inteview i passed ...the way the interviewer was saying we need people like you to get people back into work etc...

but they had in back of their mind...let others start befoe me...or...just newcastle messed up with the paper work...total shambles...thought it may get better...its got way worse...and they are still heavely recruting??

i think..they will just pick a few..and just keep ther on waiting list...and when they need peple...give them employment...

Had a call from DWp today with a start date of 26/10/2009. The closing date for this was 30/04/2009 with the interview in June.

    Well done.:T
Is this for the Pension Centre in Swansea? If so, did you have a success letter or a waiting list letter?
My husband is patiently waiting for 'the call' for the AO job.

    Hey Riz,

What kind of stuff did you say in the interview to get such a positive response from the interviewer? I got an interview in around a week, so am curious as to what qualities/experience I should focus on.

    Thanks.
  • Yes this is the AO job in the Pension Centre in Swansea. Originally I was asked to start on 01/09/2009 but I could not due to having to give 4 weeks notice at work and they only rang the week before the start date. I rang the Team Leader last week to see if there was another intake and she said there would be, but was not sure of the start date. I spoke to her on Tuesday and she confirmed the start date was 26/10/09. I don't know if there is going to be another intake after Xmas
  • Forgot to say that I had a success letter. They may not have made all the calls for the October start date yet because she told me on Tuesday that she was in the middle of compiling the list. Your husband could try ringing her but I am in work and the number is at home so if you want I can post it lunchtime

Thanks for that - if you could post it I know that he would be really grateful.
  • Her name is Lynne Patrick and her number is 0191 2166792. You have to keep trying as often the number rings out. She should be able to tell your husband if he is on this intake list.
