DWP employment waiting list

I asked yesterday when I got the call if I would receive something in writing, she said they dont send out start date confirmation letters, and I would receive my contract once I start. So I asked her to email me all the details to confirm my start date, which she has done, confirming who I need to report to, and what I need to take with me on my first day, etc.
Deejay - you're a star thanks you. I will ask for the email to be sent to my wife.
Also, yes I know your area quite well. I play cricket around there. I also had a spell as an area sales manager (what an awful job) and my team covered a lot of that area.0 -
just emailed louise again and she rang me straight back. just said that basicaly there was nothing she could do because of this "pause " and to be patient as they should know more in about 2 weeks. not much help really.
funny thing is i resigned from my last job because the stress was making me ill. this is worse.0 -

Hi all
I applied for EO IRC 62477, attended interview in Edinburgh 2nd September and got a letter on 8th September saying: "Thank you for attending the Assessment day. I am pleased to inform you that you have been successful. We are now undertaking pre-recruitment checks..."
I only came on the net today to research how long it normally takes to get a background check done - and now i found this forum and i've got a stress headache! Especially since I haven't applied for a single other job since i got the letter, and with news of the "pause".
Has anyone been placed in 62477 yet? Suppose its WAY too early to be even asking that??0 -
well i am giving up . going to forget about job hunting and worrying about this. will re-think things after weekend.0

:mad::mad::mad:Pay attention guys to anyone that's applied for IRC60535.
I am absolutely livid! Have just called today to chase them up because 2 weeks ago I was told that my checks were clear and should be getting a call from business services in a few days to discuss start dates.
I am now told that Andrew no longer deals with this it's Janice.
Apparently I'm number 59 on the MERIT list. Didn't think that sounded bad thought it would be out of about 300. But she doesn't think I'll be offered a post this time round they won't be going that far down the list. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's disgusting, my employer thinks I'm leaving I am so ANGRY after all this waiting.:mad::mad:
I'm a positive person but honestly if you're on a waiting list just forget about the job that would be my advice and if you're on a merit list and think that's any better you're mistaken.
That's unbeliavable. I am in the exact same situation. My employer thinks I am leaving too and is already taking steps to replace me not to mention being asked when I am starting. There's just no communication. If it wasn't for here how would I have got to know this. I'd be sitting at home waiting for a call that was never going to come.
How can they tell 300 people they have a job a few weeks back and now only need about 30! It doesn't make sense at all.0 -
Has anyone heard anything from IRC61732 closing date 25/7/09?0
