DWP employment waiting list

Thanks!
I called them, on another matter. I haven't got anything but a verbal confirmation yet, although they said I'd have a letter by Saturday, so I don't know where exactly the job is or when I will start. My post doesn't arrive until 1pm and my first interview is on Saturday morning...
I will go to the interviews. Bet-hedging seems to be the best policy. On the other hand, if I definitely have the EO post, it seems stupid to clog up the system.
Difficult to know what to do...
Do what you feel is right, I hope you do get a written confirmation soon, it would save you the bother of going for another interview, I hate interviews. I went for an interview a few days ago for another EO position, the interview had NO expression on her face! Made me feel really nervous.
If I don't get a letter tomorrow telling me my position I may give them a call.
How long have you been waiting so far since you received your first successful letter?0 -
I went for the interview early March, got a 'successful' letter mid March, then they wrote to me shortly afterwards about being on a waiting list. Then yesterday a post came up. Now I have to wait for the confirmation letter, then wait for the CRB process.
I don't like interviews either. Especially those that can only last 30 minutes. I just can't be that concise.:idea:0 -
I had 3 interviews as EO but I already received a letter from the first... that I failed. I am so upset...I think there is something wrong with my interview answers.
I have another one tomorrow and I would like to ask if you can help me with this please?
Any specific suggestion? Is anyone able to help with specific examples?
I was wondering if it is the case to use some of the competencies examples on the application form (the 15 questions about improving performance, leading through change, and delivery of excellent customer service)...
PLEASE, I would really be greatful if somebody can HELP.0 -
I would LOVE to be able to call them to find out what's going on- but I can only call recruitment who say my details have gone across to the job centre involved but won't tell me which job centre it is or give me anybody else to contact. Recruitment say it's out of their hands now so I'm just left waiting.0

I got a letter today asking me to ring the area co-ordinator to finalise everything. They just wanted a contact number and said my Line Manager will ring me a few days with a start date. So still nothing concrete but a step in the right direction.0

I called today asking what my position is, I'm number 2! Don't know how many out of, forgot to ask.0 -

Wonder if you can offer some advice? I have my tests/interview tomorrow and am struggling a bit with thinking of examples for each of the competencies.
I have; Improving performance, Leading through change, Building constructive working relationships and engaging effectively with customers (internal and external).
I know it says they are looking for a specific example, but is it literally "I did this with such and such, that happened, the end" for example, or could I base it on a general situation?
Basically, I was a trainer in my previous job, so some examples are based on my experience with a group of people over time, rather than an actual event.
Thanks for any help and well done to everyone who has passed/been offered a jobGrocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
